Tax?

    Within the UK, does one have to charge tax on the software that is sold on your site? And what if the server is in a different territory?

    The server location is not a concerning issue, it all depends on which country your business is located.

    You probably need to collect VAT for all EU member countries' customers. You however do not need to do so for any other non-EU countries' customers.

    Definitely ask HRMC. No one on here can give you the answer you need (and that includes me, even though I think I know the answer!).
