DP Paid Forum

When one of the mods (i think it was Nintendo) made an april fools joke saying DP will now be a paid forum ($50/year). At first I was outraged but now I kind of like the idea. There is so much crap being posted not only in the BST section but all types of spam in all the forums. I think it is time to put an end to this. $50 is a small price to pay and it would discourage spammers. I think this should be thought over with greater consideration. Thanks for your time.

Also, Nintendo also mentioned a stop to sig links in his april fools joke. I totally disagree with this and think it is a really good idea to sell sig links. This should not be stopped.

I really think the time has come for DigitalPoint to turn to a paid forum. I mean this forum is filled to the core with many scammers, the fun side of the Community is being lost.

Something like a $5.99 monthly fee to be at DigitalPoint is something I would seriously consider if I owned this forum. You could maybe have some visitor sections, but at least have some paying members forum, which will stop may of these warez sellers/scammers.

if you really like to pay money and got some extra money just pm me i will show you the way to get rid of your extra moneys

 

sigh, there's no point for dp to be a paid forum.
no reason to.. the longer you become a dp member..
you also learn the ability of detecting how scammers work.

Well.. Thats the best part of DP .. That its totally free and is an great platform for newbies to learn ..

And i guess it will deprive them of that opportunity as newbies as reluctant to invest anything....

Ofcourse, a small fee like $5 monthly may be a good idea to get rid of the poor crowd here. But naaaa

You guys have actually made me change my mind. DP is great the way it is and anyone with a bit of commonsense can identify a scammer. There is lost of great info here on DP and many people are willing to share their ideas.
