    If you remember him portraying Moses in the Ten Commandments. Also was president of the NRA for a while. Also was diagnoses with Alzheimers a few years back.

    One of my favorite actors and one of the all time greats. I can never forget his portrayal of Moses. This is one actor we will be telling our grandkids about.

    Charles Heston gave a memorable quote concerning the right to keep and bear arms: "From my cold, dead hands."

    His Film career spanned the 1950s to a voice in Shreik 2 in 2004

    Heston is also well know for his roles in western , action and science fiction films such as in the Planet of the Apes and The Omega Man.
