These people are retarded!! I've been trying to for the past blimmin hour to create a new name server from my dedicated server on hostgator.

I've managed to do it without any problems with my domains on 1and1, internet.bs and GO DADDY have their frikkin' menu messed up!

I have never ever seen such a bad way of organizing the menus, you can't find anything!

So how the hell do I create a new DNS on godaddy for my domains hosted with them??? I can't believe the ridicule of this retarded website.

LOL yes it has been changed and muccch harder, but once you learn its easy.

    ;)

    Log into your godaddy account
    click "My Domains"
click on the domain you want
now you will see a set of tables, scroll to the bottom left side, bottom table called

last one should be "host summary"
    click "add"
then in hostname.texbox type "NS1" and it should already have .domain.com
(or whatever you want the first one to be)
now in Host IP 1.textbox type "192.168.1.1" (Your Server IP There)
click OK give it a minute or two, refresh you should see it,
then click "ADD" NS2. and so forth

    hope this helps!

its taken me weeks to get them to change the IPS TAG for a couple of my domains....still waiting on one of them :-(

Guess only decent thing is domains are dirt cheap and so is the hosting, although the TTL on the hosting is kinda slow wen ur in the UK

Thanks NetService, it helped! Now how on EARTH was I supposed to know that to create a new DNS I have to navigate to add a new host? Assuming that is completely retarded!

It's not the first time I can't find anything with the way they have their menus organized. For example, if you access a page from the homepage it looks differently than if you'd access it from another page from the site.

John, you have hosting with them? Pfft I couldn't stand them after a month. The only reason I use them for my domains is that they're reasonably priced and I like their search feature.

It seems like anything in Godaddy is a chore. Even buying a domain is cluttered with a bunch of garbage. Good prices, but a cluster fudge layout.

they don;t have good price on the domains. their .com is $9.99, you can get domains lot cheaper than that these days

You know what, Godaddy has the most f*cked up interface I have ever seen. They should sack their site designer.

Just get used to it. Sheez the daddy helped me to lose an entire SQL database because they decided to "upgrade" without telling me. And hence no backup was created and there went my entire 3 years of work.

I couldn't agree more dude, i hate that useless godaddy control panel, and they keep freakin changing things. It's way to gfx heavy for my slow connection.

I can find things easily at other registrars, but GD just have to make things so damn awkward and un-user friendly.

Back that up with a single supported reason why you'd say it. Not something you've read about.
