Enumerated Powers Act - Why are the Democrats scared?

I can't believe there are not Dems co-sponsoring this Bill.

It should go without saying that by swearing an oath to uphold the Constitution, this legislation is a no-brainer.

    Very disappointing.

Please tell your brother, your sister, your mother and your father about this bill.

Without a Constitution, there is no Union. And the government, must obey the Constitution.

Well, a majority of the laws that get passed these days, like the Patriot Act, are unconstitutional. Even the GOP is not constitutional anymore, then why blame the dems? Can you compare Dr. Ron Paul vs Insane McCain? How could McCain get the nomination???

No Dems have co-sponsored this Bill.

That's why RP is telling people to stay in and effect change in the GOP. The GOP has more liberty minded Congressmen than the Dems and Libertarian Parties combined.

They just need room and support to flex their constitutional muscles!

Interesting to see that Ted Poe is a co-sponsor. I always enjoyed reading about the creative judgements he handed down from the bench as a judge. I didn't realize he was a Congressman now. I wonder what his voting record looks like.

Neither do the people who like government to give them free stuff.

It's a very simple organization. Maintain law, maintain commerce, defend the nation.

Instead it has become the biggest bureaucratic monstrosity in the history of mankind.

Was scrounging for content to syndicate, and came across this excellent article on the Enumerated Powers Act by Walter Williams, one of my favorite members of Congress.
