they lied, they can increase the limit with the click of a button. just had it done the other day.

i'd call again, or try livechat.

 

I actually called twice, 1 said it's not possible and said he'd never heard it being done before.

Second time, a girl said she maybe able to help me, but said she wouldn't be able to increase it by much. then she offered me tips to clean my keyword list. ugh.

How many adgroups do you have right now? They seem to be capping me at around 7000 adgroups (with about 77k words)

 

a lot more then that... keep trying livechat... that's where i got mine increased.

 

talk to them on livechat, said they'll send it over to their admins. I'd hate to have to open 10 different accounts.

 

aj, how do you go about scaling? I had a campaign working with 3 adgroups. I tried expanding all the keywords out into lots more adgroups, but that didn't help at all. Any ideas?

 

pood - How is your history with them? I know with Yahoo you have to establish that you will spend $6k yearly to increase your campaign/adgroup limit, I'm sure something like that is in order with Google as well.

If you have the history with them, or are showing that you will (advertising at least $XXX daily) I don't see why that would be a problem. I would just keep hassling them - "Hey guys, you increase my limits and we BOTH make more money and are BOTH happier about the situation" etc.

 

you have to think of similar keywords that may also trigger conversions. for instance, if your 3 ad groups revolve around the theme of baseball, you may now want to make 3 ad groups that revolve around the theme of football - as both will be reaching the same audience. keep going and going, even try stuff that may be far out, like an ad group for "olympics" if its a sports audience, or "row boats" - throw it all at the wall and see what sticks.

 

I'm glad to hear you did so well. I'm also glad you mentioned that it took you YEARS to make it work. A lot of people don't realize that to have success you need to work at it.

AJ, I believe you have said it before, but how exactly do you track? If you have the network place a pixel for you, will it still track your keywords? This whole tracking thing is really confusing me

 

well, adwords wouldn't up my limit, I guess I need to spend more.

on the bright side, I'm finally seeing more leads with positive ROI

Good to hear man. Are you on the content or search side of things?

 

on content network it will show you which ad groups are making conversions, and which text ads.

on search network it will be all of the above, PLUS keywords.

Does the CTR really affects on the campaigns ?

Quality score - on SN my qs just dropped to poor, i've made some changes hopefully it'll get my QS higher. How long does it take till it will affect my QS (if at all) ?

that brings up another question, hey AJ whats your CTR like? I've been trying different ads and i really can't get past 0.02%, i know its the content network but if i could just get like 1% i could get 100x more clicks and that would fix my scaling problem over night really. Do you have any ad tricks up your sleeves that grabs peoples attention?

 

Has anyone found an offer that is converting well that isn't on Azoogle? I need to try some others out until I get approved. I've tried FlyCell and SendMe Mobile so far.
