My Own Ad Publishing Site.....YES OR NO?

I want to make an ad publishing site. I have three people that will help me with this, and these people will manage the ads, the site, and the money.

I will obviously pick up more people on the way.

I have planned on using other sites that I have (which get ok traffic) to advertise it. I also have enough money to advertise it here on T.V (in New York). The site will be really great, and I wont ban people for ad click fraud or other things unless I have talked to him/her and made sure it was or wasnt his/her fault. There are many other things as well, and I plan to make this better than AdSense, BidVertiser, Adbrite, etc.

I want to know whether or not you some people or you will try it, whether this is a good idea to make some money, and what script do you think I should use?

If you are going to use a turnkey script you aren't serious about the idea. Your website will just be generic and not a major competitor.

And Adsense's rigid banning is one of the things which makes them good. They save the advertisers money which they then spend on other advertising which goes to the legitimate publishers. So Google banning cheaters makes legitimate publishers earn more.

 

From what I hear, be willing to spend large on marketing.

You have to make a custom script that has to work better then the competation. Since you have money try spending some of getting a script coded. Also try to give good rates.

Yeah obviously people will try it if it is good.

About making a custom script, can you please tell me where would be a good place to have someone make a custom script for me?

About banning people, I understand what you mean Live-cms, and I will definitly have to follow that. It is obvious that if someone is breaking the rules and cheating people for their well made money, than measures must be made. I meant to say that support will be at maximum, unlike how Google almost never replies to emails.

About money, well, I hav etons of it, so Im not restrained. My parents are allowing me full control of money, and they are sure that they're fine with it.

@ Olgi, thank you for your concern. Yes, I will be using domain name Adsloop.com, all my sites end in the word loop.com, so this will be my advertising technique. Adsloop is also small and easy to remember.

You can ask at B/S/T under Programming , make sure you mention your budget too so others will know what you are talking about

The most important thing for an ad publisher is to offer good returns for both the publishers and advertisers. Do that and you'll be successful.

 

You could check freelance sites or web programming firms. I'd recommend you base it on Zend framework, saves a lot of work. Make sure your semantic engine is great if your doing contextual targeting. You'll have to ban publishers that commit click fraud, as mentioned. If you're looking for something to start with and test the waters with, try inClick, or phpLemon.

Your domain is great, but its not an advertising technique, per se.

From viewing your comments, I'm guessing that you are seeing the network business from a publisher perspective- and that is a dangerous thing to do. I recommend that you go through a testing phase before committing full resources.

Your startup costs will be surprisingly high. What is your maximum budget?

 

If you are planning on making a serious site, you will need to have a lot of money behind you and a heck of a lot of research before even getting started.

 

Yeah at the start you will have to be paying out of your pocket before you start earning anything yourself. The domain is not so bad. Try to make your publisher and Advertiser account look different from the rest. Like take a look at AdToll they have a great dashboard for publishers and advertisers.

 

to the O.P, are you interested in some sort of Ad Network software? since that is just what movinglabs.com, me and another developer are working on.

 

try getafreelancer.com or somewhere el;se and also try your local programmers or company if you need strong updates...

but i am confused what new things you will in the niche.

adsense is always getting top although other try to bring new strartegiies
