Is it just me who finds this annoying? You go to buy a packet of cigarettes in the corner shop or a burger from the burger van and they call you: "my friend". "Yes my friend! How can i help you my friend?" WTF??!!! I've never met you before! And even if i did you would not be my friend. And even if i knew you quite well you still would not be my friend. Even though i know a lot of people and i have a lot of mates i only have a few friends. (My definition of a friend is someone who i would do anything for and in return can always rely on no matter what) This sneaky bummer the other day was trying to rip me off for a £10 because he thought i was too drunk. He was all like:"No my friend, i gave you the right amount of change!". Had to make him replay the CCTV and check for himself.
they do that here in spain too. They try get friendly and often 'accidentally' give the wrong chance. Pretty annoying.
it is freaking annoying..sometime they try to touch my shoulder/hand too...i just slap it right back and yell "buck off"
Under the guise of being your friend, the "my friend" will try to cheat you the maximum possible. Always tread cautious with these types of quick friends!
I understand you very well...here there is another one..."my girl", "my boy"...it's making me crazy when I'm hearing those
happens alot in PM's or responses in posts. someone refers to you as "my friend". i ain't your friend, i ain't your neighbor. how do they say it in England? sod off?
Round where I live, "mate" is the common one, and after living in the same place for 17 years it rubbed off. e.g. you buy a pack of fags "alright mate, 20 whatever"
