Hello! I just recently joined DP, and have acquired 9 points in infractions, lol ! Anyway I suppose I should of read everything but for the most part these infractions were justified. However I got an infraction in the web hosting section by an honest mistake. I thought the post was someone wanting to buy, whereas it was someone selling. So stupid me posted a thread offering my services and got 5 points dinged! Is there anyway to ask someone to re-consider this infraction? If so who would I contact ? Even the original person who posted the thread sent me a PM saying it was an honest mistake.
No there isn't, you shouldn't even make a thread like this. Also don't feel bad, I have 9 infractions as well

why dont you read the rules. in there you see making posts about infractions will give more infractions. and if you have 9 infractions already that would mean .....
I just read the rules and cant find anywhere where it says not to start a post about infractions. In fact this forum says you can talk about anything! I hope when a moderator sees this post, has some compassion on me!
by the way,check the last paragraph of the post there... if u make another thread regarding ur infractions,u may get one more expect a 10th soon
Although I'm sure it was an honest mistake, I can understand why you got an infraction for hijacking another thread where someone was trying to sell something. The best way to deal with infractions is to learn from them and just let it go. I've never known of anyone getting infractions erased for any reason no matter how valid their case might be, while many people have received more infractions for starting threads complaining about their infractions or seeking revenge on those who penalized them.
