Hello all! My adsense was working fine for last few months but suddenly from february till now my adsense earnings went upto 60% down!! and this is really annoying !!! i used to make $4-5 a day and see, today is 4th of this month and my total earning for this month is $4 please tell me whats gone wrong with adsense? can i expect it to become good as it was before?
why the heck dont you move your ass and find out? everyday we see alot of folks just asking "please tell, my adsense...bla bla bla; please, bla bla bla". Jesus. Get your hands on it: google it, learn what you're doing, for christ sake. Have you got any traffic? No traffic? Whats the niche? Cakes? What the heck are you asking after all? We're not witches! Sure! Just mail Google Adsense Team and ask them. ...
Not a very pleasant way to respond But still I have to admit to your point here . I see upto 10 threads daily saying my earnings dropped.......
@ scubita thats so rude! anyways, never mind. Thanks for your tips. @ kashifmahmood I have many sites but one of my site has about 2000+ pages and i place ads on different areas. My site is related to phone contents and visitors of it are ranging from 350-600 daily. Other sites also have visitors but not that much.
Earnings from adsense go up and down all the time. New ads that people pay less for and ads that do not convert well lower you earnings.
How old is this site? Normally you get a honeymoon time where the earning remains high and drops later. This happens to sites lunched very shortly.
Do you think that it is possible that your visitors are no longer clicking the ads and if they do, they are more attracted to the lower paying ads instead ? I mean it is not that you can influence or force your visitors to click certain ads or even to click at all. There are simply no constant in the world of adsense because in the end, your visitors make the final decision. Google does not tell you exactly what ads and how much they cost for every visitors who visit your website or analyze the visitors to determine why he decides to click on which ads and which not to. Besides, the regular advertisers may no longer want to advertize or lower their budget or may have restrict access to certain countries.
thank you all for your reviews and words.. yes, ups and downs come with everything, i hope this is for temporary basis. @ startupbusiness my site was launched in oct, 07. But, I'm member of adsense since august 2005
Adsense fluctuates daily, my traffic is relatively steady, today for every 1,000 visits i had it made about $1 but some days the same amount of traffic can make me $3 It all depend on which ads get clicked on, some ads pay more than others, and many other factors. NEVER count on adsense revenue as steady.
The problem is that we only hear complaints from the people whose earnings are going down. We don't hear from the ones whose earnings are going up, like mine. Earnings vary for many reasons. Google's ad inventory doesn't remain constant. Advertisers come and go. Bid prices change, even with the same advertisers. If your content changes frequently (blogs, forums), content matched ads will change too. Even your visitor demographics can change from day to day. One day you can get a lot of one type of visitor who are interested in your ads, and on other days you get a different type who are not interested. As an Adwords advertiser myself, I frequently change and experiment with ads. I pay more money for the same ads at some times than at other times. I set budget limits. I change keywords. I change the wording of my ads. I pause campaigns sometimes, and restart them later. All of this affects Adsense publishers who are benefiting from my ads. The problem with many of the complaints here is that there is a mistaken underlying assumption that everything is the same as yesterday except that I'm making less money, or more money -- same ads, same advertisers, same visitors, same ad prices, same CTR, same traffic. Not true. Everything changes, day to day, week to week. Some days the combination of all those changes makes us more money, some days less money.
The thing is that nothing like adsense is going to stay balanced for anyone indefinately, i think when using adsense you need to be prepared for ups and downs, even if it has been steady for someone for a while its only normal that sooner or later something will change.
yea, i understood now. Also, adsense is not my first priority now because i'm also getting short time contracts of web designing. So, its fine now. Thank you for your words.
Im pleased that your generating income from other work too, its a good approach, not relying on adsense and having other income is very sensible.
