my site was at top of the page two of google for my keyword and 2 weeks ago it went up to the middle of the first page. and as the past 3 or 4 days i have been ranking down and my back links have dropped from 5600 to 5020...!!!! and now i am at bottom of the page 2...but most of my links are from dirs and blogs...so it's not like somebody can take them all off in couple of days...!! and usally i submit my site to new dirs (like 4 or 5 new dirs a day)...what's going on with google or my site?!!???
dont give up! google changes its search results daily, if not even more. Just keep on working to increase backlinks esp from blog comments. SERPS move daily and new sites get a temporary boost that fades. Just hang in their and stay white hat. Try to look at it more like a weekly average. Best

You know, the same thing just started happening to me yesterday. My site is sliding and I can't figure out why either. Has yours recovered at all yet?
My site is now on the last page of search results, it used to be on the 1st place. Its been 3 months but my site rank hasn't changed

Can you think of anything that you have changed. Were all of your backlinks coming from the same sources/s. Maybe we can help you figure it out. What is the site name?
