I have been following the most popular blogs for several months. Comparing other program, Adsense seems for the most persons but not the most profits.

Many popular sites have given up Adsense after they have the Private ads or Affiliate Programs.
I am agree that Adsense is good for everyone, especially for the beginners like me.

Adsense has niches, and the websites with lowest paying niches just give away there traffic for "free"

Maybe bcos people have gone ad-blind lol

nah! if you use best ad placement, colors then you'll definitely get clicks though most of the webmasters are experiencing low CPC these days.

I can say that the CPC is fallen down a big time from the beginning of April.

although my earnings are low, adsense is still the only affiliate that I've earned from on a daily basis. With Adbrite, widgetbucks, CJ and Amazon I just experienced too many $0.00 days to be worth the time.

Adsense still has a lot of life in it. But earnings have been sliding these past few months.

in my opinion Adsense is and will remain top sollution for advertising and publishing ..
One can afford to give up on Adsense when he owns some 10-15 k visitors .. and can switch fo Private Ads and stuph like that ..
but for common webmasters Adsense remains top 1 for me ..
its not Adsense fault one is getting low$ from it ..

    Yeah.
For a common site, Adsense is the best solution. Anyway, it will bring you money.
But the visitors are familiar with Google Adsense 'cause it can be seen anywhere.

especially returning visitors. and if your visitor base is regional and returning your ecpm will remain low, IMO.

It's low because of inflation in certain parts of the world, the dollar is going down and adsense is low because the market is getting saturated, they are bowing down to the rules of advertisers, making it harder for newbies to get into contextual advertising and from here it can only go down. Don't worry though, it's great to start with, focus on content, build your list, find the right site or script that works for you. Then offer private advertising and you will make a lot of money.
