I'm not sure that's the important question, at least not in this context...would that question be answered differently 6 months or a year ago? I just find it interesting that despite all the Scroogle directory smackdown, people are churning out directories left and right. It hasn't cut the market in half or more...but maybe people (me included) are just slow to catch on. You don't intend to abandon PHPLynx any time soon, do you? That should say something about the demand...
No we don't intend to abandon it, quite the opposited, and if you look at the way we've developed phpLynxit we've taken into account the fact that the directory industry as it stands is all but saturated and needs to move on. People are churning directories out in the wrong way without having any kind of business plan, they come, they go. Hardly any of them have a viable future which is a shame. Remember that I actually want the directory industry to succeed, I have a vested interest along with my partners to see this happen but it can't go on the way it has. Do us a favour next time Artifexus, say who your quoting, I almost missed this.
It was a rhetorical question; I already knew the answer. Yeah, that's kind of where I'm coming from...I find it interesting that's happening, or at least as much as it is. Perhaps the Scroogle smackdown is actually propping up the demand for directories, in a churn and burn fashion. People still need links, and the directory life cycle isn't as long as it used to be (?), so people abandon their old, scroogled sites, which creates demand for more links. I dunno, just a thought. Perhaps it's just stubborness, ignorance or stupidity... Or, as someone else mentioned somewhere, it's just the barrier to entry is so low... Sorry, I wanted to capture both quotes to keep the context, but keep them separate, too. Stay alert, stay alive!
I really appreciate your list buddy, also you can add the free directory in my sig which was relaunched last month.
Friend, you directory is already present there, look at No: 161 at this page -free directory list - http://www.strongbacklinks.com is listed there already. thanks dotcompals
Yeah, I have built a new directory here, and you may submit your website, no linkback is needed. url is http://www.verydir.com
adding http://www.a2b.biz/ to the list. The other one , i think doesn't qualify for a general directory.
