    Hello Members,

Please let me know shall i use two different languages on the same page,

One is English and another is Non English.

I Do want to target keywords in both the langauges.

Is it advisable to use this technique for getting better ranking in both the languages?

I think people will be confused. make two websites. you can give tools to visitors to translate the site.

I would suggest siloing the two different languages.

If nothing else - language is one of the indicators the search engines use to measure the likelihood that a page should rank in a regional search engine (i.e. google.com.ie etc)

Having two languages for ranking only would not necessarily be advisable as it could be confusing. That said, if it has a significant benefit to the actual user of the site - it might be a different story.

Just make two web pages, both in their respected languages. Google won't consider it duplicate content "if" it's on the same website, it will be able to tell the difference in the language itself and realize it is a translation. This means you can target each web page off-page optimization wise for their keywords in that language.

Well thanks to all of you for your nice comments,

ssandecki i like the suggestion given by you, yes the website is the same, but i need to target lots of keywords containing English as Well as Swedish language.

Let's take a simple example, "there is a website related to hotel business in sweden, ok. now i will use English content
    for http://www.my-url.com/online-hotel-booking.html,
Now, do you mean i can use the same content in translated language of Sweden,
so i will prepare a new web page like, http://www.my-url-.com/room-bookings-sweden.html
in that one i will put the translated content, as well as my title tag and meta details for the this respective web page in swedish.

Please let me know still i am very much, confused.

I don't think so this would be the great idea.
IMO, Ssandecki is wrong, if we can do this kind of stuff than we can rule on the .com and local se too.
    He is wrong.

I don't think so it will work good, you should make two website or add the tool on top of your site which can transfer language.

    Sheds, is right,

IMO, Still you can use both the languages, but don't repeat the same content as you are having in English and in another language that you want to translate.

Not sure exactly what you are planning - but one option if you were trying to rank the content for separate geographic markets is the following:

    1. Set up two folders:

    2. Sign up for Google Webmaster Central - you can specify specific geographic tld's for sub-folders i.e.
    - www.mydomain.com/english (assigned to google.com)
    - www.mydomain.com/swedish (assigned to swedish variant)

The advantage of doing this is that the content would then be appropriately targeted based on language - but links to either would still increase the overall trust of the domain.

i dont think its a good idea to put multiple languages on the same page. if you have visitors from multiple countries, then you can do and english version and one non-english version
