the second questions comes into play for me...lol two times, for the same site, but now I sold the site
1. Strong Passwords 2. Keep OS Up to date (apt-get upgrade / yum upgrade etc) 3. Keep all web scripts current (wordpress etc) This would stop probably 90% of all "hacks". If you want to go further look at some of the excellent guides to securing your server available on the web (then have policies / processes in place so that know what to do if it does happen).
If you run PHP, then disable following functions (you can do this through php.ini - ask your host to do it): disable_functions = escapeshellcmd exec passthru shell_exec system Most hackers use the functions mentioned to access your passwords etc. Good luck
1 time and got my adsense banned due to it. i still not got my adsense back.emailed google no. of times.
Have you been hacked or boasting about hacking 4 ppl? I have been hacked twice as well. Once by a keylogger and another times by a brute force password cracker. Then the hacker got the nerve to mail me telling he will return my account within 2 weeks and told me that he spent 1 week hacking it. Edit: Indeed he returned my account as he promised!
