    Hi,

Does position preference only work on the first page of the search results? Is it possible to set position #1 on the second page or 3rd page instead?

Mostly visitors surf first 3 pages so I think it would be useful to set position #1 or #2 on second page or third page.

I'm not sure why anyone wants to only show up on page 3...

    This is a lame tactic

There are some very competitive niches like mortgages and financial related stuff where people are paying $20~$30 to stay on the first page, I couldnt' afford to do so but still wanted to get into the game as an affiliate, I know I'll still get visitors clicking on the ads even though i'm on page 6, I've tested it. So it would be cool if I could set my ad positions.

First page or nothing for me.

Very few people would search that deep.

thats why I am wondering if there are any quality conversions on page 3+

I doubt it but I would like to know if anyone has actually had success with that

You would need a crapload of keywords to get much action by being on the 3rd page for your keywords.
