Hello Which domain extension is better / more popular, for us market .info or .us (com/net/org/biz/ are taken) What do you think ?
It's best to pick a domain that will be the most suited for what your site is about. .info is better for a site that is mostly informational, while .us is usually more for businesses.
I agree with aaron. But for the heck of it buy the .info and use it for more of an informational site or park it with a registar or parking company that has adsense and earn money on it.
Yes it is. I believe like $2.99. They also will give a discount if you buy mulitple extensions. Than you can add a coupon/promo code for more of a discount,
If you google site:.us you will see 153,000,000 results and site:.info 261,000,000 If in a popularity contest, the .info is winning hands down. However, as it has been mentioned, the extention really depends upon the domain.
I would think that .info is better because they're more popular, but you decide. If you're targetting US specificially, maybe .us would be better.
i would also suggest .info domain name............... coz is currently almost free (99cents) from Godaddy. buy it before the offer is gone!
Hey guys... Can the payment be done via Paypal?? And do they allow unverified paypal users to make payments???
I like us better then info and think they have a better resale value but it would depend on the domain keywords. As said before information fits an info site, us fits a site dealing with us business. Remember that info is only cheap for a year. For .us you do NOT need a US address, Im in Canada and use my own address, the only requirement is that you check a box that says you do some business with the us. I also used unverified paypal to pay. Also note if com net org ect are all taken this info or us could be hard to sell as people will probably look to those others first. If it's for yourself any promotion you do is still going to lose some people to .com and .net ect....
If you live in the US and are only targeting US traffic go ahead and get the .us. But get the .info too, if you ever want to go global it is a much better suited extension plus it is obviously the popular choice among domainers and web-developers.
