Hi all! I would like to advice here about those people who are selling & buying link submission to directories. First of all, we should be very naive to believe that someone will submit our website MANUALLY to 1000 directories in less than 1 day for just 15 or 20 dollars, and do it once and again in the same day to others. please do not be naive! I just had a bad experience after buying one service of 1000 submission of one PR4 website which had a decent traffic every day coming from google mainly. Well, after this supposed "manual" submission to 1000 directories I received around 500 or 600 emails confirming the approval. 2 days later i noticed that my traffic coming from google decresed in (60% till today) ... Someone with more experience in SEO could explain what could happen here?... It has sense that if Mr. Google found 500 new Backlinks one morning on low PR sites, these may cause my site get marked as suspicious or go to some kind of sandbox... I don't know exactly but i'm sure this had a negative effect on my site. Think before using this method or at least try to make a 100 by 100 submissions. In any case all these offers are crap because they lie to the people offering manual submission and it's 100% automatic. Many of us know very well that there are several softwares to do this. Best luck.
Hi, Actually, when it comes to link building you need to avoid buying links all together! Regarding cheap submissions to 1000s directories ... the sole possible effect is negative! Let's say a site has 100 links after a year of extsistance, if in 1 day it gets 1000 news links from dodgy sites (because you can be sure that google can make thee difference between a good site and a bad one), you are sure to be penalised for that. If you have been sandbox, your site should have disappeared from SERPs ... What you need to do now is to find proper partners to exchange links with. Something which works well is to get 1 decent link here and there with your keywords (or key ewpression) as anchor. Try to get various types of links : forums, blogs, partners site, sites regarinding your topic are better and avoid directories . If you are getting new good links then your site will reappear normally in SEPRs. Good luck ! g.
Hi gbonnet, I really appreciate your comment, it brings back my hopes, I thought it was not so easy to scape from sandbox or similar. I will follow these steps and I will no use more these automatic submission to garbage directories. Thanks so much for your comment.
No worries. It may take time though ... what is sure, is that if you are doing things properly you will come back and rise on SERPs, it is often only a matter of time. good luck G.
I disagree, I have test sites that I have gotten to the top 3 for their keyword in Google (Good keywords with 1 million plus competition) strictly using auto submission software for links, Ive added (Thanks to Digital points Exchange) over 3000 links in a day and only noticed that I dropped from the Serps for a couple of days only to show back up closer to the top. Even if you submitted 10K backlinks in a day, Google wont find them all for weeks, possibly months if they are low PR, so the big G wont know you did them all in a day.
You are right. No person is going to manually submit to 1000 directories in a day. However, with semi automatic submissions this can be done. Maybe it's a temporary drop. Give it a week or so to be sure. If your link was posted a true directories (not link farms, ffa links, etc.), then you should not have a problem with too many links too fast. Directory owners take days, weeks, and months to review submissions. Then the search engines take their time finding those links after they are posted. If the submission service you purchased used a fully automated technique to post links, then your link will probably be on a lot of spammy sites. Much of the viagra, porn, etc. spam comes from bots/software posting at sites without captcha. Good luck
I've had a good experience with the "submit your site to high page rank directories for ~15 cents per submission" lately - I had one site that has hovered around #86 in google's results for a given search term. Several weeks ago I bought ~150 submissions paced over 3 weeks.... the last 5 days I had noticed gradually increasing traffic and saw yesterday the site was #3 for the same search term. Outside of one article each week over that span... no other changes. I did do a layout change over a month ago, but I think that's what got me UP to the mid 80's... I think the key might be in the pacing of submissions - from what I've seen too many links too quick could get you a penalty. In comparison, a second site was ~10 for a keyword phrase and I did several things simultaneously (including paid "manual" directory submissions.) This I didn't pace and saw ~100 in a day on a couple occasions. The best I've seen is around ~#5 or so for a similarly competitive phrase. Are they really manual ? I suspect not, but... labor is dirt cheap in many places around the world so it wouldn't surprise me to hear of people earning $2 per hour in some remote part of the world submitting sites to directories.... but (?)
i've been using a tool to modify my article to generate unique versions of it and auto submit it. It only cost $17/mo so I don't know why anyone would pay someone else to do - its so cheap. the program even lets me spread out the submission to 500 directories over a long time period. It usually takes google some time to index these articles so expect it to take upto 3 months after submission to see results. I believe that if your site doesn't have any backlinks and all of a sudden google sees 1000 backlinks from article directories, they will punish you. but this is hearsay, i don't have first hand experience.
I provide 'slow' / delayed directory submissions and they are manual submissions. That's probably why I can't provide the dirt-cheap rates that others are giving. I agree that 1000 backlinks in a day may not be good
I've used quite a few directory submission services in the past and I believe the majority of them are using submitter programs, especially those that claim to submit hundreds or thousands in such a short amount of time. My recommendation is to submit yourself over a period of time. Here's a great list of about 800 directories. I use this list for a bunch of my sites, submitting to about 10 per day. http://www.addurl.nu/
Yes, many of the directories that are submitted to are bad directories and may actually get your sites penalized... I think I noticed before some directories that have NO contact form, and simply accept EVERY kind of site....
