I want to do a retail coupon site but I don't know how to make the site unique i.e what will I add to the site to make unique visitors become regular visitors. I will give anybody who can tell me what to do $3. I thought of ratings (rating the store, rating the coupon), having forum on the site but all these have been done. Pm me your suggestions please
I dont know much about coupon sites but here are a few ideas: Make it so users can submit coupons Make it so users can rate and discuss the coupons, like does it work or not Suggest products where users can use the coupon and get a great deal
add a wanted section where users can exchange coupons. have a web only section where you can post checkout code, same as with above have an exchange going.
You can find affiliates offer, and dissimulate affiliates links in between direct coupons. That way, people will beneficiate a deal and you will earn some money.
People come to coupon publications looking for deals, if you want to stand out you have to have the best deals. There's really nothing more to it than that.
I guess you better need to have a campaign at the beginning, like selling the coupons at a very low priced (maybe you can give them out for free for the first 100 customers.)

That means updating 2 sites Sites have forums for that discussing about the coupons This suggestion would have been good but some people will just be there to exchange coupons only. Offer a downloadable software to let people know if the website they are browsing has a coupon available on your site.
Ok just a quote "Winners don't do different things but they do the same thing differently". May be you can put up same things as other site just make it look different, also called branding and product positioning. Just make your customer service excellent and that will keep the customers for long. Also, 80% are time wasters any ways, why to loose time and money over them, think about the rest 20% which will bring you money. Cheers
Talk to web vendors about getting unique coupon codes for your site. They will get free advertising and you will get the edge you wanted.

The most important thing on a coupon site is the content. Fresh new coupons / deals should be added daily. Also the deals / coupons that are expired ... make sure you remove them from you site. This will be quite helpful for the visitors.
