It's very unlikely that you would be invited unless,

    1) You are in USA or canada (often seen US pubs gets invitation for beta first before the rest of the world)
    2) you have more than 500K impressions per month account-wide (not in combination with the first point)

Google ad manager is for people who can give some good feedback to google. Of course, these people either need to have a good affiliate + Adsense impressions to give honest feedback.

If you have a big website, you might as well shoot them email and ask for it. I am sure they would glad to assist.

Great review rusty (as usual). been a while i have been to your blog, but pretty much worth it to visit today :D

Let us know if this impacts your earnings in any way? Adsense CPM or affiliate earnings impact if any.

Why don't you visit the blog everyday? ;-)

In terms of Ad Manager impacting my AdSense or Aff income, I don't use it for that. I use it to deliver ads I sell direct on the site. I don't monetize with AdSense or Affiliates, I earn a heck of a lot more on direct ad sales.

Rusty what i meant is. It does have implications. Let me put this here:

If Google admanager aggregates your data from direct ads such as earnings, total CPM, inventory etc. They can use this data to understand how well your site does for certain type of ads and geographics. They can use this to apply their findings to your adsense account, which might have positive or negative impact.

This is just a wild theory. I could be wrong.

This seems very promising, I have applied for an account but I doubt I will be considered.

    Quick Question though.

If there are no signups to advertise on your site will it show standard google ads with a button saying advertise here somewhere on it, or dows it just have an 'advertise here' message?

If it does show google standard ads would we have to replace one of our normal banners with the ad manager code?

godmode, theoretically, yes - but I don't have access to that information.

ThisIsOli, it won't show anything, if that is what you want. You can tell it to show Google AdSense, but I tell it to show nothing. To use this, even with adsense, you would replace the AdSense code with ad manager code.
