You better try to monetize every single part of the site, while keeping the user experience at level. Use AdSense on main page, AdBrite or other CPM-based ads on the proxified pages. You could also use popunders on proxified pages like AdVersal (not accepting proxy sites anymore), but they lower the quality of the visitors experience and can drive people away (from what I heard).
What do proxy templates/scripts maker have from it except a link? I think they put their adsense pub ID in our ads for example 20%

It is not really comedy I have seen some template owners place their adsense code in the index file while tricking you into placing your code into a config. file as it does not configure theirs in the index file. Lol.. if you were a noob, they would be earning from your hard earned proxy! I was thinking free proxy templates aren't really free Maybe I will go into that business one day. Joke! I run a templates site and I can tell you that often I don't even get footer links out of giving away free designs. Proxy webmasters remove them. They are too selfish to leave in a link or two So to answer your question there isn't much that I get out of giving away free themes. And no I DON'T put my adsense on your site .
Agreed. I also run a free proxy templates section to my site and once you set your adsense id, thats it, nothing more... I too would appreciate it if the backlinks are left in....this is the only thing we get for our trouble!
And these kind of posts are pure stupid. So, how can you explain that my Statcounter shows that I have 1k Page Loads, but adsense shows only 735 Page impressions. Isn`t Page impressions same as Page Loads?

Maybe statcounter is also counting the bots that hit and other search engines. After all, the ads are Java so bots wont trigger an impression but they will register on statcounter. Hope that makes sense. Regards DK
And the people that are browsing with javascript disabled? Bots many explanations other then the template. There are only so many files just look at the PUB #'s easy enough.

wouldn't it be easier, cheaper & not against Myspace TOS to just put a link on your site asking your visitors to be added to your Myspace friends? An expample can be found on this site - myspacewaiter.com (not my site). In Glype someone wrote the code for this, when someone surfs to myspace via your proxy, it will ask your visitor to be added to your myspace friends. I had such a mod for my proxies (since removed) but found out quicjkly that not all people like to be added without their consent, you'll get lots of messages from people that were auto added asking who you are & some will get angry when you tell them how they got added to your friends list. Just a little heads up.
Also it makes proxies look bad, proxies are seen as being shady. This person may not trust proxies any more and stop using them or find another way like (hosting there own proxy or using SSH) Which then we all lose a valuable visitors..
