With? Obama? Well, let's see.. aside from supporting hate, being a Muslim, and ripping on real Americans with actual experience, like Hillary and McCain, what specifically?

I would really like to see Obama up against Rice.. She'd tear that guy apart, literally.

The more I see of Obama, the more he is getting tripped up, the more he lacks wit and charisma. His true colours just keep shinning the through. It is only a matter of time before even his supporters begin to see him for what he really is.

It's sad, because there are so many better candidates out there. Hell, if Gore announced he was running tomorrow, I would switch parties instantly...

That's how bad things look on the dem side ATM... It's really kinda disturbing on several different levels, how retarded that party has become. And to think that all McCain had to do to get elected was wait for this. Not a day goes by that I do not laugh at the prospect that the only reason McCain made it into the White House was because the democrats were too dumb to run candidates that actually had a chance of winning... Democrats run on pure spite. It's this spite that keeps getting them no where. It's really sad.

    Like I said, disturbing.

Yes, even Ron Paul is more experienced than Obama... A little nutty, but non-the-less, he has more practical experience, and has actually been in Congress to vote, almost 100% of the time.

Obama has an ok record I guess.. I mean he usually shows up to vote but instead of actually making a decision, he likes to vote "present but not voting" most of the time. He can't make a decision until he knows which way the wind is blowing.

Obama is the type of guy that sits on sideline without making a decision, so that he does not have to defend his position later.

That or so he can say, I was against or for this or that when you guys voted yes or no for it.

What is Jer's take on what Mohamad Obama would do with that 3AM call on the Red Phone? He'd let the machine get it!

If he did not like the call, he'd call them back and ask to be put on their do not call list.

Does anyone know if this guy ever had a real job before?

Mia, thanks for not slagging Paul too badly. Boy are you mean on Obama.

All I want to know is, what does Obama stand for? And no one will step up and answer. I have been asking for months.

I don't care if he is descended from the Barbary Pirates, if his real name is Mohammad Al Islam, if his Pastor is the Anti-Christ or whatever.

I just want to know, what does this guy believe in? What are his principles? What can we be convinced of when he gets into the Oval Office?

I can't believe that very intelligent people fall for the rhetoric. Does Bush actually sound that stupid that change in this election will amount to electing someone who can speak in complete sentences?

When you compare records and experience, I'd have to be an idiot to slag...

Exactly.. I agree. Aside from what might appear that I am being "mean", this is the same question I seek.

    Actually I have two questions.

    1. What does he stand for (aside from "CHANGE")
    2. What exactly is it he intends to change???

He has not yet expressed any plan. All he has talked about is how miserable and and horrible the US is, and how racist we still are.. I've not seen anything from him that gives me any indication of what he intends to do. Aside from immediately withdraw from Iraq.

    Nothing. Nada.. ZILCH!!!

I do, and a lot of Americans do. For some very good reasons I might add.

Well, we kinda know what he believes in when we look at his background and his preacher, don't ya think? Those are some good indicators.

We kinda know what his principles are as well.. Again, those are defined by his relationships and previous decisions he's made.

That is probably one of Bush's biggest down falls... He has not a very good public speaker. He still managed to get the job, twice.

I think when it comes right down to it most Americans sit in two camps. Those that want to fire Bush, and those that want to hire a better leader.

The ones that want to fire Bush tend to be for Obama. Those that want a better leader tend to look at Candidates that have real experience, love, not loath their country and really want to work with both side to get things done.

I look at an Obama voter and I see the person that makes a car purchase based on the colour, or the stereo, never realizing that the right car can have both its colour and its stereo changed easier than its underlying body and power plant.

When choosing a president, one should be looking at the underlying strengths, not the sound quality and colour.

Looking good, sounding good, or doing good? Which is more important?

He isn't a muslim Mia. Put your Bill O'Reilly pocket book away.

He will be a bad President, as will Hitlary or Juan McCain too.

Do you really think America is ready for Bush Mk II? That is what McPain will be, he is one crazy MO-FO!

All three candidates will be disasterous for Americans and the world. Things are not going to get better for your country any time soon. :(

Not a damn thing. Although Obama isn't a Muslim, it is only a twisted version of what it means to be an American that holds the views you see espoused here, or that panders to those views whenever it is the expedient thing to do. The giddiness you see here is really the last gasp, I would say, of an unfortunate relic of history.

The same kind of contortion of the constitution, and the principles embodied by the Founders of our nation, has been pursued, sadly, too many times in our short time as a people. But we're a good country, and a good people, and we're getting better.

Let's give obama a chance. He is worthy of atleast a chance, surely ?.
He has shown the ability to bring together people of various ilk [judging from his support] and seems to be a positive thinker. We need positive thinking leaders to counter the negativity in the world.

We give lots of chances and money and fame to the unworthy [look around for examples]. So why shouldn't we give a man who has commendable skills and talents a chance.

Obama will get his chance to be president and show us his all round ability/capability. It's upto him to convert that chance and if not, someone else will be in his place.

He has Muslim ties, ancestry and education. This is well documented.

Hillary would not be "as" bad as Obama. Her previous record and experience dictate she would not ignore reality, like Obama.

Seems you have fallen prey to the Obama propaganda as well. While McCain is a bit out there, he is nearly the complete opposite of Bush on almost every issue domestically.

Better in what regard? You say that as if things are some how terrible, which they are not. There is always room for improvement. We could always be worse off.

Ultimately the right choice is likely McCain, given his experience, his willingness to work with both sides, ie., democrats and Republicans. He understand foreign policy, war, peace, and is not a tax and spend politician.

You and others don't like him because he will win. Many Republicans don't like him because he compromises too much and it too moderate. Ultimately, he is likely the right mix of experience and common sense given the choices.

Obama has never held a job, never run a business, and did not even know that we have a military presence in post war nations to insure peace continues. He might be well spoken, but he is often times quite ignorant.

I have a feeling that the super dels are gonna swing the Clinton direction and Obama will likely be a fleeting memory by the end of the Summer.

Hahahah, yep, Jeremy, uh, "well documented" except you can't seem to find a single piece of evidence. Tragic, really.

Jeremy, Bogart, and the member who chimes in from time to time simply to pander to them, well, in my opinion, what they exhibit here just shows they aren't interested in the truth, folks. For a time I lived in hope they knew better, but somehow thought they were just playing at the game of smear because they felt it would score some political points on a web forum, as silly as that was. I finally accept the tragedy is that they believe the slop being put forth on these pages.

Over the course of 177 posts here, and 387 posts in the Obama Muslim Conspiracy Paranoia thread, we've seen zero evidence - zero - for a single vile accusation made. This, despite

    to which Rebecca once said:

Sadly, the same tired cut and paste of falsehood just continues.

I said it long ago (Nov. 2007, although I think long before that):

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=5328824&postcount=46

From ridiculously obvious and false e-mail campaigns through to classifying Obama's speech of reconciliation as "hate speech," for reasons unknown to me some have a dreadful, personal fear based on air, and it has led to the kind of behavior we've all seen here. Perhaps should Barack Obama become president, and we don't see an immediate overthrow of the United States Government, or the mass imprisonment of white people, everywhere, at any hour, or the new Flag idea is floated, a red banner with glorious gold hammer and sickle, the gents of the above several hundred posts can, finally, catch a good night's sleep.

Oh, Lightless, I appreciate your last post. If you're still touching down, what you see here is precisely why I think evidence isn't a bad idea. The conspiracy theories embraced by enthusiasts here make AGS's contentions look like bedrock science.

    I agree.

    Barack Obama - Full Speech
