Could some one tell me this that i have my website on google and for my target keyword it comes under the 28-39 position in google and not at all in yahoo though it is indexed in both the search engines. (the target keyword does not have any high competitors)

Now, I started to built backlinks for it at high PR blogs (under the comments page) and the cache for those blogs is updated after a week approximately in google.
Is it that NOW I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER 1-3 MONTHS BEFORE IT GETS PROPERLY INDEXED AT TOP IN GOOGLE {ALL THOSE MONTHS BUILDING LINKS}

DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THAT LONG!!! SO THAT AT LEAST I START MAKING SOME REVENUE FROM MY WEBSITE!!!

PLEASE HELP ME !!! AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME

Have you use right anchor text? And have you acquire backlinks to your site? How many did you put keyword which you target to your site?

the backlinks keeps on getting updated internally though google don't show it publicly. There is NO such thing is tri monthly serps update. It happens all the time, so even though backlinks don't get updated, your can get high ranks

Yes the SERPs are updated practically in real-time... you will notice this if you are in a highly competitive keyword where there is an even playing field.

If you place your link on a high traffic site you're almost garanteed to see it show up in your backlinks report the next day. Having said that: Google takes longer to index your backlinks than Yahoo in my experience. Use Yahoo siteexplorer to check your backlinks.

Google is constantly updating it's search rankings, if you've got the right anchors, you'll see differences in a few days.
