Whats the cost of Internet in your country?

Hi my dear friends.I want to make something about internet prices.Why? Because i am really curious about who pays what for what? I am from Turkey (Türkiye) and internet is really expensive, also too slow.So it is really helpful to learn the world.I can make searches but this is the most certain method i think.Will be too happy for your posts.

Türkiye / Türk Telekom (biggest isp) ADSL prices
1024 / 256 (4 GB download limit) 29 ytl/mo (22$)
1024 / 256 (6 GB download limit) 39 ytl/mo (30$)
2048 / 512 (6 GB download limit) 49 ytl/mo (37$)
1024 / 256 (limitless) 49 ytl/mo (37$) (that's mine)
2048 / 512 (limitless) 69 ytl/mo (53$)

Speedtest
592kb/s download 210kb/s upload speed via 1024 / 256 (limitless) package


Other ISPs
There are some other isp in my country but they are really small and the work like an agent of turk telekom.Sometimes they have some promotions but the prices is around turk telekom.

Others then ADSL
The other faster connections are not common.Rarely and very expensive.

General Problems
Generally we have speed and out band problems.And very poor support via tel/fax.

i only want to learn the other countries internet speed/price and policy. Please if you have time let me/us know about it.Please give some detailed info if you can, tell your package and the all isp if you know

 

The plan I am using cost around $24 a month. 384 kbps plus a landline.

 

I have no clue because my Dad's work pays for everything ^^ All I can say is Malaysian internet is pretty darn fast.

I pay over $200 per month for 1mbps (never gets that close) with absurd limits on download and upload. I think its 12GB down or 9GB up before it slows you to a below dialup connection. We hit the download limit just by surfing the web in the first week of the month.

 

In The UK I pay £25 for an 8MB connection from Demon.net

UK i pay £21.99 pcm for a 12 MEG connection, Unlimited usage DOWN AND UPLOAD. With Karoo (KCOM)
(which would be around $45 a month in the US). No offence but you guys in the US are well over-charged/priced and the services dont seem good

 

The unlimited plan in my country costs about $ 25 per month, though the speed is somewhat limited

Thanks for all replies again.I think we are not expensive and slow as i think.I read that Japans use 20Mbit with cheap packs.Is it true , Anybody from Japan?

It costs about $45 and that is with unlimited downloads The speed they advertise is 10MB but as you can see it isn't true...

10mbsp + landline phone + stream tv 50 dollars/mo

 

I am in the United states and I pay 33.00 USD a month for what is supose to be 10mbs but usually it is only 5mbs on a broad band connection

 

Did you really mean $200??? That is nuts...

 

$15 per month and speed is 12-16KBPS.

 

In Romania and my contract is almost 15Euro for 1 Mb in a month.

 

I am paying $25 for 512 Kbps (unlimited plan) and $35 for 2Mbps (6 GB limit).
