Hey all, wow this thread has progressed a lot! Hey, I have some advice....check out how many backlinks www.arcadehog.com has Does that mean anything? Sure it does!
Ok, I have a few questions for you as a more experienced person. Feel free to don't answer if you dont want to... 1. How much do you earn with this site (estimate)? 2. What script do you use, is it custome coded? 3. I see that you embed some games from sites like Miniclip, do they allow this? Aren't they licenced?
i have a good doamin name gamerzlive.com .Once it was a great domain o arcade gaming.I an looking for designer to redesgn it.Is there anyone who can help ne...Tempalte is showing in home page..
Well my new games site is http://flashgamesdump.com/ and I've also set up http://blog.flashgamesdump.com/ to help promote the site I used a template and heavily modified it to work better and make the site work good, so hope it pays off
I am looking to exchange links with other arcade sites on my established (but not so big) site: Day Humor. Your links will be visible under "Links" so I am looking for sites that can provide the same, "above the fold" back link. Let me know by PM.
I'm designing my arcade site, but have no idea with the ads placement.. I have 2 options, 1. Leaderboard (728 x 90) at the top below navigation bar 2. Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) at the top of right sidebar anyone have experience and tell me which generate more revenue, but nice for your site layout. thanks in advance
HELP! I have a gaming site for 2 months now. Done some cheap directory submissions and last week I was getting 250 uv a day. Over the last 3-4 days, it has dropped to almost 0! It's just a hobby for me, but I'm wondering is this normal given that I don't promote it that much.
I don't have much experience but I guess some square ad (300x250 maybe) above and below the actual gameplay window will be most visible and clicked. Just make sure you do not break the Tos and ask Google after each change if thats ok with them. Have you been deindexed from search engines? Maybe you have been stumbled before, this kind of traffic falls with time... You have to do constant promotion in every possible way until you develop your site very well, then you can have some breathing room.
Thanks for your reply. Not sure - not de-indexed (when I type domain name in google, it shows up). A lot of traffic came from some myspace site.
Like mrgee said, that kind of traffic falls with time. You said you've done directory submissions? Any traffic came from your targetted KW? Perhaps you need to check your SERPs. Referral traffic is also a great way if you can find good link partners.
Anyone looking to sell their arcade? PM me Must have above 1000 (or close to it) UV and take Paypal though.
If you asked me about 14 months ago I could have told you how to make thousands per day with an arcade. It was pretty easy when YPN didn't ban all of us. Now it takes more work but it is not hard to make $2-$5 per day you just have to work at it a little bit. If you want to make big money it is going to take more than just a time investment. You will need to put some money into it. When I started I was spending maybe $5 per day in advertising. Places like adengage were doing well. Basically you need to figure out how much you make per unique visitor and then spend less than that to generate each visitor and voila you make money. Of course it is not as simply as that. You must monitor your site constantly as revenue fluctuates. I used to use adwords to generate traffic and was using YPN to monetize it. If I was getting 1000 unique visitors per day and I was making $200 per day from those visitors I would spend $.15 per click on adwords and basically make $.05 per visitor. Also I would track what times of day I was making the most money and then set my adwords advertising to run during those times in order to maximize my revenue. It got to a point where I spent most of my time simply monitoring and tweaking to earn a little more per visitor. There were times where I would be investing $2000+ per day on adwords. Now, just a year after I got my last huge YPN check I make about $5/day but I do not spend any money nor do I put any time into it. If I had the time I would do the same thing I did before but on a much smaller scale. I am sure anyone else could do the same. It's just trial and error. You also have to love the arcade industry because arcade traffic does not monetize as well as most other industries. My sites with 1/10th the traffic make much more money hence not concentrating on the arcades as much as other niches. I still love the arcade industry though and will probably ramp up a couple of my sites and get them going again when I have some time.
Don't you think arcade sites could make more money with cpm ads like cpxinteractive and similar ? I don't think people playing games would be clicking ads much since the game is taking all the attention so making money from page views will be good as arcade sites have large number of page views.
Hey guys I would like to make Arcade site but need some advice 1. Whats the best/most profitable arcade script out there?
