Is there intelligent life on other planets? If there is, why haven't we heard from them?

Statistically, it's incredibly unlikely that this is the *ONLY* planet where intelligent life has developed.

One possibility is that intelligent life always winds up destroying itself and its own planet. That is incredibly depressing. Fortunately, the Supreme Leader of Humanity has sufficient control to prevent such a disaster.

Another possibility is that intelligent life only progresses to a certain level of technology and then progress halts. The Supreme Leader of Humanity may be more interested in cementing his control than allowing human civilization to progress. Although technological progress has been halted in many areas, computers and communication equipment are showing tremendous progress. Since computers and the Internet represent a potential threat to the Supreme Leader of Humanity's absolute power, I assume that he approves of the development of these technologies. Perhaps humans need to advance to a certain level information-wise, before other technologies can be made public?

Suppose that intelligent life has involved on other planets. Human scientists can already detect large planets orbiting nearby stars. It's pretty obvious that advanced aliens would have the ability to detect all planets capable of supporting intelligent life.

Assume that intelligent advanced aliens on other planets exist. Either they have the capability to visit other planets or they don't. If they didn't have the capability of visiting other planets, then they probably would be beaming out radio signals at all possible frequencies, just so they could communicate with all other planets that have intelligent life.

Suppose aliens exist and have the capability to visit Earth. Their technology would be incredible compared to what humans already possess. The idea that the government would be able to keep their existence a secret is stupid. Why would the aliens make a deal with the Supreme Leader of Humanity? Why would aliens allow the Supreme Leader of Humanity to enslave everyone else? What could he possibly offer in exchange?

On the other hand, why would the aliens directly intervene? Maybe they follow a custom similar to the "Prime Directive" in Star Trek. They aren't allowed to interfere. On the other hand, perhaps some of those suppressed technologies are incredibly dangerous. In that case, the aliens would be obligated to keep those technologies suppressed, out of self-defense, until humans evolve to the point where they can handle them. Once they interfered out of self-defense, they would be responsible for the development of humans.

What sorts of technology would the aliens have? They might have technology that allows them to directly read people's minds and plant suggestions in their brains. This would allow them to manipulate world events from afar. For example, it would be very easy for them to plant a suggestion in the President and his advisers to "Invade Iraq!", since it was what they wanted to do anyway. Knowing that the Iraq war would lead to a sharp decrease in the credibility of government, the aliens encouraged that war.

Does that explain the secret hidden messages in TV shows and movies? When a writer is trying to be creative, it becomes easy for the aliens to plant thoughts in the writer's mind. This insures that the "right" ideas are slowly leaked out through certain TV shows and movies. I've come to the conclusion that the "fnords" are actually real. I can see them sometimes! They're too common and cleverly placed to be an accident.

Sometimes, I have dreams where it seems like there is someone else there. Are there aliens who have the ability to communicate with me while I'm dreaming?

Is the Supreme Leader of Humanity really an alien? Did some human manage to seize absolute control of the entire world, and then aliens intervened to prevent human development from grinding to a halt?

They are bound to exist somewhere and I'm sure their religion would be some giant myth just like all of the ones we have here on earth:)

Yes, they have to exist. The univers is just to friggin massive for them not to, however, there technology would probably not be so advanced the could travel thousands (millions, billions, or even trillions) of light years to get to Earth.

Even if they could travel at light speed, the distance between Earth and their planet is probably just too great to travel in a few (hundred) years :(

It's almost a certainty that life exists elsewhere. Nucleotides have been made in a lab and have bonded to form poly-nucleotides, The actual stuff that makes DNA. Once DNA (or any self replicating molecule) forms it's just a matter of time before we see organisms. If those condition can be found on another planet (montmorillonite clay, hydrogen, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia) we will likely find carbon based life on a percentage of those planets. There may also be planets with vastly different conditions which can produce vastly different self-replicating molecules, In which case we will find vastly different organisms, It has been suggested that silicone could possible form life.

If the conditions of the planet are similar to earth and the organisms are carbon based we will likely see creatures not too dissimilar from what we see here. There will be flying creatures, Cold blooded creatures, Creatures that can breath water, creatures that give birth to live young and feed them milk and possibly even an upright warm blooded monkey type creature that is particularly good at manipulating the world around him. If the environmental pressures are similar it will produce the same types of creatures with the same types of abilities.

The main reason we haven't heard from anyone is they could possibly be millions of light years away. Or it may be because we aren't particularly remarkable.

Have you ever seen Aliens visit to earth, or heard from your friends ?

    From some of reports
Bright object in sky,at first looked like a comet. Watching close with binoculars could see it was not a comet but nothing I have ever seen before.

This object was white in color and looked like a cigar.was moving slowly across sky towards the north but was moving up and down and side to side all this time. Another small object could be seen as well with a white light that would flash ever now and then.

The weather was mild with clear skies, and Monroe GA is about 30 miles north east of Atlanta Ga.

We have all seen the planes coming and going from the Atl airport and these were no planes or helicopters.

I'm a 46 year old over the road truck driver and have drove at night for years and never seen nothing close too this.

Other witnesses include my wife, 45; son, 23; and his wife, 23.

I have researched every kind of Fighter aircraft, helicopters, and everything that flies, from every country in the world. I know how they work, their capabilities, and can identify them within seconds.

But I claim to have seen a UFO, on the sea shore. it was a flying saucer, extremely fast, super quiet... I could see it for 20 minutes. It was not an aircraft, atleast not the ones that have been declared to exist, or being developed.

Nice answer considering you have no proof whatsoever to your claim, but then again most atheists think like that or do they?

I believe there is a good chance of life on other worlds because there are so many glaxies, all it takes is one that is at the right distance from the sun to support life

The universe is large and old enough that it is probably likely that several intelligent societies, maybe smarter or dumber than us, have already existed and died out. Unfortunately, the universe is big enough that there's probably also a high probability that any such civilizations are too distant and disconnected to ever really discover each other or interact in any meaningful way.

If a planet dies in the galaxy, is there any one there to hear it...? Something like that
