7. forum "Where Spot Matters" < slogan? webmasters forum?

I would throw a proxy up on it,

 

either website selling templates, giving tips and resources, a forum with specific niche (i know it can be made einto but cant think of niche yet), social network site (make sure unique as well), or article site

 

@Iwhic, hmmmmm << really? i think it's a waste cause u can have proxy on every crappy domain and people will still use it

well i'm just giving more ideas on the "others" part

that would actually depend on what you're interested in, because most of your option and my options requires dedication and your interest in the subject for the site to grow and be sucessful.

a forum or social network sounds to fit the most right now but then again it needs to be unique and othe roptions beocme easier. Nonetheless, need your interest

3nd last resort = blog (always work and earning potential if you have good articles)
2nd last = try selling, someone may be in need
last = proxy as mentioned

 

well i have a software for social network that is in development over a year but i plan other domain to use it, i was thinking to re-copy it for bigspot.net under diff concept but i can't think of any niche other then general niche. Currenly it has a publishing news system by WordPress / blog, so i don't wanna invest into some bad idea, i would rather keep domain and sell the content it has

 

A general forum might work

 

I would settle with a hosting company; I think that would earn better

 

one more general idea (niche is on your own )

you can make a topsite or a listing site with many features that will make advertisers want to join/pay to show off their site as upgraded plans and many users will drop by for athe list.

you can also make a listing/topsite for many niches/categories
thus BIG Spot on the NET!

 

Let's see, a domain with the word "Big" and "Spot" in the title? Definitely an adult site.

 

I'll go through forum

 

I would turn it into a commentary site with opinions on hotspots of new and information around the country or the world. I would cram it full with great content and photos and not have a forum. I would use a good CMS like Joomla 1.5 and really build a nice frame work out of something unique. All opinions too. I would cover things the main news is not through a network of bloggers that might contribute to help get their name out as well.

or

I would possibly make it an index of all the great travel and resort places around the world with as much info for sites, food, and anything else. People will come back for content and in the end you can sell hefty advertising spaces like the big sites do.

Just 2 cents though....

 

I think No.1 and No.3 are good choice.

the idea of travel spots i.e Big ones is great and i will think about it,

hosting company is also nice idea and .net can work with that too but still this market is saturated

here is another great idea: make something like blogger and give free sub domain blogs, "Every one wants a Big Spot of his own" i.e YourBlog.BigSpot.net

 

The domain name is perfect for a personal blog.

 

Hosting company sounds good to me.

 

I'd go with a social network or,as a 2nd option,with a website selling WP templates.
