Is it worth to sell product which sells under $5 ? Other ideas than free methods (forums included) may not really worth it. Just calculate marketing costs which you need to make a sale.

P.S. Take a look for shareware software for example. Nowadays it's more lucrative sell pricy ($xxx+) solutions via PPC.

P.P.S I wouldn't buy a product which costs $5. Unless it's simple script for example or hosting. But maybe it's already 1) easy to find + 2) free

I always wonder why people looking to sell cheap solutions.

Corolla, I understand, but it requires to sell in mass. For one-man show it's not easy. As a member of MoreNiche you also promoting $50-$150 in comissions product, not $5 :)

Yeah, its about quantity. It will be easier to sell what im selling at $5 and sell a bunch instead of marking it up and only selling a few. Im trying to figure out how to promote to webmasters and people interested in making money for relatively cheap or free.

Honestly, in my opinion these can be the BEST programs to promote. I use all organic traffic and promote a fusion of high and low paying affiliate offers. If a product costs $5 you can do 10x the business if you market properly; the low cost fuels conversions and your profits in turn. So why not promote all types of offers and diversify your income? In my experience this is the winning strategy. Low cost doesn't mean low commission or low conversion! If everyone only went for the high paying campaigns, the competition would be too much. It's very easy to generate leads for these types of offers... best of luck to you!

P.S. I had NO knowledge of affiliate marketing (college student) prior to November 2008 and I've generated 360 leads for an offer I think you'd write off as easy to find and free!
