I've noticed that a lot of people here might be ESL from the States, or from outside the US/UK. Is English your first language? If not, what is?
English English is "art thou thee ye faithful one" etc etc. Everyone these days speak American English ^_^ it was many years of us bettering the English language to what is is today. So you're all welcome. how bout a pat? I joke.. I don't know. English was better back in the day. Everyone has gotten lazy and are chopping words off and such. But anyway, yes English is my first language. There's alot of people on this forum that speak Engrish though.
American English isn't the same as what everyone speaks. You speak the adaption of Ye Oldie English that the English used to speak back in Shakespeare's days. Now over the years the English language has adapted to what is spoken now in England, the Scottish have their own slang, the Irish too, the Welsh also, and every other country that English is their main language, including America.
Haha. When I was a wee child (maybe 6 or 7), I thought I was English and everyone in America was English because of our language..! My ancestors came here from Ireland...and now I'm mixed with other stuffs.
Nope.. But english is use more than my language in my college.. p/s-Is there any different between english US & UK..?
The languages or..? The languages are all English, we just have different slang. For example, they say arse and trousers. We Americans say ass and pants. color - colour favorite - favourite etc.
Ah, hablarse el espanol? Yo estudio la idioma de espanol a mi escuela. My keyboard can't do tildes, so I have to say that I'm a second year Spanish student in English instead of Spanish (if you don't speak Spanish, it's an inside joke).
