    IMO for blog links, it's better up to put your own blog feed if you really have a good informative blog that you are actively working on and dedicated to.

    If one gets $3 per 1000 posts, he should consider himself lucky.

    I have put up my recent blog link for an auction and the best bid till now is only $6...:D.
