The so-called "film" is only 17 minutes long as is a load of racist crap by some Cloggy that nobody outside of Holland has never heard of. It's pure nonsense. You cannot tar every Muslim with the same brush which is exactly what this wanker Geert Wilders is trying to do.
The poster's comment is strange, since the poster is aware of my views; among others, a call to treat him respectfully in an exchange, though we disagreed on the matter: I also long ago sought to create a system we could all live with, to engage in respectful debate: I freely admit I've blown it, grossly, at times, including unfortunate exchanges with the poster (offering apologies there, as well); I offer no excuses; but I do seek the sort of exchange embodied in the statement of principles contained above. That said, to hear a poster who in my opinion, as a matter of course resorts to the kinds of tactics he does - please see the several threads of this weekend that I mention above, alone - to hear him say what he says with his last post, is simply sad, to me. That the poster continues to paint a series of detailed, substantive and good faith contentions with the substance of his errors as some kind of bloodthirsty personal assault is also curious, since the poster certainly doesn't shy from making his views known on the forum. To attempt to paint this poster's points so, is, unfortunately, more of the same regarding the poster's tactics, in my experience. The English Helicon, pastoral poetry from England's Renaissance, beckons. Truly, good night all, and indeed, peace.
Brilliant. Leave it to an Englishman to refer to a Dane as a "cloggy". As do I. Apologies, aspirations, and admissions. But it doesn't seem to be working out. For my part, I'm sorry and I'm done.
He isn't tarring anyone. He is saying there are disgusting surahs in the quran and there are some people who use them as justification to do disgusting things. He then, At the end of the film, Calls on muslims themselves to remove those passages so it can not be used as justification for disgusting acts. I don't see what is so unreasonable about his request... Unless of course you think the passages that he highlights are valid and reasonable and are something that people should live their lives by and teach children.
There are no disgusting Surahs/Chapters in the Quran. There can be a offending ayat/verse IF you only look at that one verse and read it out of context. Ovbiously if there is a chapter talking about a religious war, and then you take a random line out of it and say it is disgusting, well that is propaganda, there are no disgusting verses or anything of the like. I've asked you to post these so called disgusting verses before but you ignored me.
So where is your protest against the people using those surahs "out of context" in their goal of promoting violence and hatred in the name of your religion? These people exist, They call themselves muslims and they can be seen in video footage directly after each surah is quoted. where is your protest against that?
Who uses them out of context? The people calling the Jews bad? Probally because they have been slaying Arabs for the past 50 years, it tends to leave a bad impression.
most of these guys seems to be saying exactly what you want. they are saying that these interpretation of their religion is wrong and their religion does not mean this. they are removing the cover for the terrorists.and you are arguing that they are wrong and obl is right in the way that he interprets islam don't you see this! and in real life thousands of iraqi police men and soldiers have died side by side our soldiers. the same thing in afganistan, indonesia.egypt, saudi arabis and numerous other places. so to say the moderate muslems are not doing anything is quite short sighted
So they are right for wanting jews dead? is the man it fitna right for saying "the stone will say 'muslim, there is a jew behind me, Come cut of his head' and we will cut off his head!". Are they right or wrong? If they are wrong are they taking surahs "out of context"? If they are taking surahs out of context why are you yet to be seen protesting against this? Is the man in fitna right or wrong for saying any muslim who converts to christianity deserves the death penalty? Or is he taking a surah out of context? If he is taking it out of context why are you yet to be seen protesting against this? In other words... Why are you only ever seen to be protesting against the people highlighting this problem and not the problem it's self? Why are you yet to be seen protesting against the people doing evil in the name of your religion and are only ever seen protesting against those highlighting that these people exist?
dude there are numerous treads in this forum these guys repeatedly objecting to this representation of their religion.
No, There are numerous threads objecting to people highlighting it. Not a single thread, Or post iirc, Of them objecting to the people doing this stuff in the name of their religion. People do do terrible things in the name of islam, That is hardly debatable. So where are the objections to the beheadings, suicide bombings, Stoning of women and execution of gays? why is this behaviour not worthy of objection but a little film highlighting it is? If Islam really is peaceful you would think muslims would be outraged by people doing violence in the name of islam, But they are not. Strange, isn't it...
you keep on saying they don't because you do not want to hear when they do. all these people reject these interpretation and that is why they object to the movie. in all the arab countries and a good number of muslem countries there are armed struggle against these people. you just do not want to see
It's not that i don't want to hear it, I would love to hear it. it's that it's not particularly common. Especially when compared to deluge of threads of them crying about people highlighting the fact that there are some people using the quran to condone violence. Their protests should be entirely focused on the people doing violence in the name of their religion. because without those people there wouldn't even be a need for films like fitna. Their priorities are mixed up. Their issue is with people highlighting a problem when it should be with the problem it's self. They seem to keep awfully quiet when it comes to actually condemning the violence, murder and threats though. Not a single one of them condemned the fact that liveleak were forced to remove a video because of death threats. NOT A SINGLE ONE.
You know what I'd love to hear right now? Some Ivan Rebroff. As for apologies? I don't care for them. Actions are what I want to see.
