Other then sex what other topics do you like. Like have a passion for. then use that for your forum.....
Man you have to start the forum about something you really like, because at the start you will be the only guy who will post, and only users who will post there beside you are guys who need help, and only you will be able to help them.
How about a webmaster forum like dp?We all webmaster here,and you should like webmaster related stuff.
How about a celebrity/hollywood news forum? Those seem to be doing good nowadays with all the reality television and trainwreck celebrities. Its important to consider both what you are interested in and what is most likely to bring you profit. Remember to look at the competition also.

There are enough forums out there with mods who don't have a clue about the topic they are on. Start one on something you know about, otherwise don't start one at all.
IMO, its hard to promote forums and get things going. Anyways, how about a general forum covering loads of things like sports, celebrities, tech news etc etc.
forum is a very hard thing to monetize and grow on unless you put dedication and patience into. You need to ask yourself that first and also will you post in your forum daily? (if you dont, imagine how others weill feel to post) For a forum to grow 1. if you want to start a siturated topic, make sure you have connections and friends to join 2. think about a niche and start a forum on it.
