can you give me some Jewish sites or sources to better understand Talmud

 

Brwntown, the quality of the site is not relevant to whether or not the phrases from that Talmud (supposedly) are accurate.

I'm kinda interested to know if these are real phrases, accurately translated, because I do not know a lot about Judaism.

 

I'm still waiting for BM1125's response to Imad, it should be interesting, if he does actually reply.

 

How is one to know if these passages are from the Talmud, or if they are translated correctly? That would be the first question one should ask. By looking at the rest of the content on that website, I do not think anyone would say it is objective or unbiased. WOULD YOU?

Based on the source for the OP, I don't think there is much to reply to. Seriously, was this post to open a debate or to slam Judaism using www.realjewnews.com as the basis? Nice source ThraXed and Imad are choosing to use.

Are we to assume that this website it the true meaning of the Talmud and ignore what Jews are actually doing and teaching? Yeah, sure, that makes sense to look to an anti-website as the guide for what the religion means.

Is there a reason the only sources for these types of posts are from websites of this standing. Has nobody ever done real scholarly research on this?

IMO all of these religious texts shouldn't be followed for the simple reason that they were written so long ago that the interpretation has significantly less meaning in todays world. Should we throw out all that man kind has learned since these texts have been written and just follow the books blindly? Luckily most followers of religions realize this but there are some who are still living in the dark ages.

I can tell you that I would not rely on a site like that one for information about any religion.
