Hi All, You can market your product with an article and earn cash! However, generic articles are least helpful here. There has to be some amount of subtle selling and a very powerful and impressive call to action tone. Hypes sometimes go counter-productive. So, be careful in planning your content. Article marketing is an effective way to market your site or service- if your article is informative and well written. You're right about hype also it can be a major turn off for the readers. Also something for new article marketers is to not put affiliate links within the article or in their author sigs. This can get you banned at some of the better article directories.
I haven't yet found an article directory which hasn't fully explained on its ToS page what can and can't be done. Though I suppose people are prone to ignore ToS or try to push the rules.
Article marketing is FANTASTIC. It is a very efficient way to get backlinks, traffic and hype. When you write a quality and detailed article with an underlying message of your product or service. It will get noticed, published in blogs and generate traffic and sales.
