Help With Related Ads

    Ok, just launched a new blog about tea: www.TeaGeneral.com

    Good so far:
    I put in a related article for content before I start really publishing, a category, the google analytics codes, and all in one seo pack.

    The ads displaying are the problems. Half the time they are about tea.

    The other half they are about rss feeds, blogs and that stuff :(

    It is really annoying, sometimes it is tea, others it is not. Any ideas? Also, when you visit the individual article, it has tea ads. Just saying.

    Ideas?

    It might be because Adsense is having trouble finding relative ads, so its just displaying general ads.

    Not much to do about it, you have picked a small niche there.

    if you just launched your site, then it might take a day or 2 before google finish indexing your site and have good idea about your site content. i will suggest working on backlinks which will help you getting more frequent google bot visit. if that doesn;t work, then you can use Section Targeting

    Wait for few more days and add more content about tea. I feel since your blog is new and doesn't have much content you are seeing ads about blog and rss.

    I don't think that displaying 3 ad units is causing this problem. I have 3 ad units + 3 link units, and never had any trouble.

    Anyway, I suggest you use these commands to tell google which content to use for displaying ads.

    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->

    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    Not for this problem. That was a general remark of mine. Little content and many ads.

    I think you need to create more content on tea,and wait for a longer time go make google get your right keywords.

    Thanks for the responses. I assume with more content the ads will come. Google just needs to read my page correctly which will take a little time after being indexed. I dont think I need to tell google what to display, but thanks for the idea of section. I downloaded SEO Pack for a plugin that seems to help. Thanks for the responses!

    I've the same problem with a few blogs. Interesting ads on some pages but Hurricane Relief on others. I'm thinking of adding small articles beneath the main article on Hurricane ad pages. Do you think this would help eradicate the problem?

    If I was doing a tea blog and put the plan above into action I'd write articles about china, teapots (collecting, antiques and renovations) tea-travel, health and green tea, stocks and shares in tea, reading tea leaves - would this help the poster of this thread?

    If you cannot use the tag, because there is so little content, then you need more content.

    1associate- It kind of helps. I am planning on putting many types of tea. The ads are fine now because I put a nice Oolong tea article on the front page. I am awaiting my articles about tea.

    The Stealthy One- See above, again i am getting more content :) I will check back with this thread later once I see how it goes. Thanks all!
