I need FFmpeg Hosting hosting :)

    Hi on my servers we dont allow FFmpeg Hosting mainly becouse its a bit of a server hog i find and i just fancy having a play around with it start a site up and just see wt i can do can anyone offer me a good deal looking for lots of bandwidth but storage im not to fust about :p

    p.s i would be uploading files that r like 500meg so if you dont allow storage of files that big just keep on moving :p

    Anyway,
    for 500 MB files, & FFMPEG, I would suggest a VPS or a Dedicated server.

    Most shared accounts that support FFMPEG have uploading limits for files of around 250MB, for 500MB you would need a Dedicated server or VPS as ishan stated.

    I would never suggest using them for a streaming site.. they will not hold it its not the bandwith its the cpu usage that would be a problem. Use atleast a semi dedi for this.. And hostgator dont have FFMPEG if you are a afiliate you should kwno that. FFMPEG is use especially for streaming sites for thumbs conversion.

    Its not about storage alone, 500 Meg file will take alot more time ( nd CPU ) to convert via ffmpeg or mencoder thus you will most probably bypass the CPU resources alloted in shared hosting.
    Go for a dedicated solution instead :)
