I want to make a profitable blog, and I thought politics would be a good topic, but is it a moneymaker? if not then what is? Thanks.

The discussions can grow nasty very very quickly, you may need to moderate a lot.

Anything can make money if you do it correctly -- I think LONG term it could make money, but short term probably not, there are so many places people go for political information and news that your site would have to be so unique that people would actually care what you write about. You're competing with sites like the news outlets (ABC, NBC, Fox, CNN, BBC, etc), and all the news aggregators.

Personally I would try something else if you're looking for short term money making, but long term it sounds like a cool idea, and would probably be fulfilling if you get loyal readers who read all of what you write and your opinions. Just develop a consistent view on things, and keep it interesting. Unless you just want to be like an "objective" (impossible) news site.

YES, YES, YES!!1 I think so. Especially if you look into the united states federal reserve, income tax, and the new world order. You will find that there is NO U.S. law that states income tax is mandatory, the federal reserve IS NOT FEDERAL (it's a corporation), and the new world order is a group of bankers trying to establish a world government. The U.S. just passed NAFTA and europe is th EU. They want to change the dollar to the AMERO.

Looks to me that Frontline just gone done watching a few conspiracy documentaries. Go ahead, don't pay income tax, whether its a law or not, it doesn't matter. Men with guns are going to come to your home and take you away if you don't pay it.

What kind of product would you advertise on your site? I think there isn't much interest in political advertising, besides the elections...
    Just a guess.
Besides that, I tried myself in politics and I had it quite easy getting traffic to my site
