    Just because a directory is PR0 does not mean it is any worse than it was before. Google is a 3rd party, they can set a value of whatever they like on the PR bar.

    If I create a crap directory and google makes it PR9 does that mean its better than the yahoo directory? No.

    Directories should be judged by many things, not PR.

    As for the PR0 of alivedirectory and its SERP penalty, its old news. Get over it.

    Has anyone heard, Iraq was invaded by troops from several other countries?

    My view is there was absolutely no need for you to come onto this forum and post such nonsense. And this is coming from someone who thinks Alivedirectory is worthless and made out to be something it isn't. However I certainly don't get joy from their demize.

    I doubt that very much, but do agree that this is very old news and there really is no need for this thread to remain open as it's unfair on the directory in question as they don't deserve to be kicked while they are down.

    Perhaps a moderator could pick up on this thread and close it as it started effectively as an attempt to flame which is against forum rules?

    now that i have finished laughing at the OP i will say something

    Just because the directory was slapped by Google does`nt make it useless

    last time i looked their where other search engines, yahoo,msn,ask,gigablast to name but a few and the directory still ranks well within them.

    yes maybe $300 to get listed is a little on the high side but who says you have to pay it just dont submit.

    Gotta love the way owners of PR0 directories are suddenly trying to convince people to ignore PR and just pay the fee for their worthless listings anyway. :D

    I don't own a PR 0 directory, infact I dont any directory, but I still think that people should pay less attention to PR and licking Google's ass about buying and selling links. How the heck are you going to advertise if you don't buy links ?? Adwords ?? Please ... you can't let the monopoly go.
