    Any tips on migrating from blogger to wordpress? How do you back up blogger posts so they are not lost during the switch?

    yes...to expand on that
    now when you install WordPress, login to the admin and click
    "Manage"
    then click "Import"
    then select Blogger
    and go from there

    best of luck!

    Insert this meta tag on your external pages:

    <META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" content="X;URL=internet_address">

    X is the number of seconds to let your existing page display until it goes to the new page

    see:

    i definitely would not use meta refreshes.

    if the blogger blog has some (any) PR I would leave it up, edit the posts to say you've moved and just leave one link per post, to the new post address.

    that way your new blog starts with a little push, and anyone finding the blogger one (including robots) know where your new one is.

    I wonder how do the Blogger-imported post URLs look like.. Can wordpress save the "/200x/xx/post-title.html" format?

    YEs, just import your blogger post using Import feature in the latest wordpress.org. And do not forget to make your old blogspot Noindex by search engine by updating the basic setting in the blogger interface and choose do not list your blog to the search engine.
