I made a new blogspot blog on 20th feb this year. i have 5 backlinks from PR3 blogs of my friends but when i search for link:www.myblog.blogspot.com i dont get any results. how much time will it take to show the backlinks? Thank You.
Use Google Webmasters Central, the link: operator doesn't display all the links. 1. Login to Google Webmasters Central (www.google.com/webmasters/start) 2. Click the website in the Dashboard 3. Click "Links" on the top left menu. 4. Click "Pages with external links" There ya go, they should be displayed in there, again this data isn't real-time either.
Give it some time, they will show up in due time. Spend time building more, not waiting for the current ones to show up.
Yeah 5 backlinks isn't much either, continue building them and soon enough you will begin to see some of them.

That's a good start but continue your link building efforts. Write articles linking back to your website, do link offers with sites that compliment your content and use Google webmaster tools to track your progress. It can take a little to get quality backlinks.
