There are many similarities between Islam and Christianity, some of basic concepts are below :

1 -Monotheistic -- God (Allah) is recognized as the Creator.
2- God is omnipotent, omniscient, immanent within His creation yet transcendent.
3-God has a unique relationship with humans (master and servant).
4-God makes agreements or Covenants with humans.
5-Have similar eschatology (pertaining to the last days or the end of the world) -- this world will come to an end someday and no-one knows when
6-A figure referred to as Satan or Antichrist (dajjal) (a figure of evil) will be defeated at the end of the world.
7-After the world has ended, God will judge humans, based on their actions in compliance with a moral code, specified in the Covenant which God makes with us
8-This judgement will determine one's eternal abode, heaven or hell (bliss or punishment).
9-Islam : Human beings have a spirit (ruh) which is eternal, continuing its existence after our physical death. As to its origin, the Qur'an says, "When I [God] have fashioned him [Adam] (in due proportions) and breathed into him of My spirit . . ." [Qur'an 15:29]
Christinaity :Human beings have a soul which is eternal, continuing its existence after our physical death
10-Humans have the ability (free will) to choose between good and evil (obeying or disobeying God, complying with the moral code of the Covenant or transgressing).
11-Angels exist who are the servants, and sometimes messengers of God.
12-Satan (shaitan) exists, as well as evil spirits who follow him; they are the enemies of humanity.
13 - Islam : Divinely revealed scriptures exist which are the primary source of religious knowledge. The Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad and it is the final scripture given to man
Christianity : Divine scriptures exist which are the primary source of religious knowledge; revelation in this department is finished (there are no more biblical books yet to be revealed)
    14-Miracles occur on occasion.
15-If a person errs or transgresses, God may forgive them, if they sincerely repent
    16-Prophets brought spiritual instruction
17-There are similarities between the Quranic and biblical version of many stories, such as Adam and Eve, Moses and the children of Israel, etc.
18-Jesus Christ was born to the virgin Mary.

It's nice of you to post this but many Christians here tend to follow their own ego rather than their book so you will probally get a rude response. Just a heads up.

Islam is, in some ways, more like Judaism than Christianity. There are lots of practical, daily-life laws in both of those regulations, and neither believe in a triumvirate God.

It's nice to point out similarities, but that really doesn't accomplish much. There are many, many differences, and being ignorant of those differences may prevent us from tackling today's religious gulfs.

they are all abrahamic religions. The blood thirsty trio as i like to call them. So when 3 myths stem from one man there are bound to be similarities.

You have audacity to pretend to be the arbiter of whether someone is a good and true Christian? The best part about you, is that I only need to repeat your posts to show your true colors.

You are a pretty weird guy, browntwn, stalking me on every post. My point was that he claims to follow only the new testament while alot of Christians use the old testament to prove against homsexuality, that's hypocrisy.

If you had made that post, you would have been making a point instead of merely an insult. Hopefully you are smart enough to understand the difference.

The Bible teaches that God will forgive you.

What a sad little God that Islam has that can't guarentee forgiveness.

    Apples have skins
    Oranges have skins

    Apples have seeds
    Oranges have seeds

    Apples grow on trees
    Oranges grow on trees

    Apples == Oranges.

Until Islam figures out that Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day there is nothing redeeming about Islam.

That's like saying that my parachute is just like your parachute. Well, besides the fact that yours has no strings. But they're similar enough right? Strings aren't what define a "true" parachute are they?

Ah you are a Muslim, that explains your sincere hatred towards unbelievers.

So much so that you don't mind that your own book tells you there is no sin in killing them.

There is a list of 10 sins in the NT that will keep you out of heaven.

It's very clear in both books.

The excuse given is that the Bible is talking about loveless homosexuality. Not a "loving committed" relationship.

So adultery is right above homosexuality. Pre-marital sex and idolatry are the top two.

And if that isn't clear enough

And no where does the Bible condon the killing of homosexuals as it's a sin like many other things. As opposed to Sharia law which calls for their death on the grounds of causing "corruption in the land."
