I had a conversation with my accountant recently... he said that he has a client that is making $100,000 per month doing 'web design'! Obviously I gave him a funny look and asked what sort of design he is doing! My accountant isn't much of a technical guy, but assured me that is what he is doing, out of his one bedroom apartment... been doing it for four or five years and struggled but is making it now he said. Is it just me or does this seem like he is stretching it quite a bit?
maybe he's not individual and he has a firm. Then it might not be hard to reach that amount with good designers. Also is that Net Profit?
I doubt he is making $100,000 from web design on his own, although $100,000 could just be revenue and not profit?
I won't believe it, certainly not out of web design, look at the current depressed prices for web designing. $100 000/mth? In which currency is my question. Also if he is really earning that, he won't be living in a one bedroom apartment.
You could make $100,000 a month from a website, or network of websites, but I doubt very much that you could achieve it from web design!
Hello, All is possible with time and working hard This is the easy formula work + work + time + time + luckyx1 Best, Jakomo
It could be easily achieved, Do you have an idea of what the top independent sites pay for web design? I know a designer who did a job for £65,000 that took him 3 weeks, thats roughly $130,000.
My guess is he told his accountant he does "web design" but in reality he owns websites that make big bucks with ad revenues and affiliate programs, etc. Take Dr. Shoemoney for instance. He may classify himself as a web marketing person. He probably brings in close to 7-figures a year... 100k/month is not too far-fetched when you see guys like the owner of "PlentyOfFish" making multi-millions a year... I think he makes like $30k/day... I'm sure his title is probably "webmaster" or something like that to his accountant... ;-) Keep in mind, most of us making big bucks don't care to share the details of what we do with other folks... particularly an accountant who is obviously not too tight lipped about his clients private information...
Plentyoffish yeah and also shoemoney is making that sort of money, I believe and that is nothing to major than a blog, it is easily possible!
Exactly...Plus he may have no technological knowledge whatsoever so sometimes its easier to just say Im a Web Designer My accountant deals with mostly farmers since I live in the country now...He has no idea what I do (I think he thinks I fixes computers)
