(Sorry, Jeremy, but for a guy who "knows," gotta say, it strikes me as a bit funny that neither you, nor Bogart, can present a single piece of proof, and only now - after weeks and dozens of pages on DP - rely on some stat that shows a bunch of ill-educated, gullible folks also believe the myth. Searching for something, anything, to aid a pre-conceived judgment really is silly, and anathema in causative research).

 

I think it comes down to the fact that he is Black. Mia and Bogart would hate it if a black person became President, they seem like very old fashioned people.

It's a proven fact that Obama has attended Trinity Church, a black separatist church, in Chicago for the last twenty years.

Obama has put "Nation of Islam" members on his staff and granted internships to "Nation of Islam" members. This as well is a proven fact.

Yes, Bogart has said there is proof. Dozens of times. Curiously, as post #89 and dozens of others show, he has none. He does appear to rely on a gossip columnist for his news, whose "reports" rely on statements such as "an insider says...." "an anonymous source tells me...," "shhhh...overhead at Table 10..." [note: this last was my SARCASM, to keep a smile going over a ridiculous smear campaign], but this doesn't meet "proof," by how reasonable people define "proof."

Obama says whatever sounds good, and simple minded people fall for it. He's got these fanatical supporters (see this thread) who can't tell you what he stands for.

 

Matt Taibbi is the political blogger at Rolling Stone who comes on the Bill Maher show and provides insight from ground level.

He's hip, he's cynical, and he cuts right to the chase.

This is probably the best thing I have ever read from him, re: Obama and the Rev. Wright controversy.

I can't understand why this is still being debated. The same falsehoods have been brought up again and again and have been disproved over and over again. Obama is not a radical Islamic nor a radical from the African American church. Do you people think that when he becomes our next president he is going to make white people slaves and give our national security information to the people that want to do the U.S. harm. GET REAL! It's time to stop this insane thought process. You people watch way to much FOX News. 24/7 Reverend Wright clips for the past three weeks and way to many years of false, unfair, unbalance, big brother type disinformation that makes me sick. Regardless, I'm happy to see that overall America has been opening it's eyes more and more from the politics of fear.
