They'd have more luck with a burlap sack, some rocks, and a van.

    Looks cool.

But I HIGHLY doubt they will come close to Google. Google isn't only about the search engine. Even though that is the main part. I personally will never use searchme because the results are irrelevant. Also, with Google's resources it could EASILY make something 10 times better like picture on roll over. Just because it looks better doesn't mean it is. I actually doubt that searchme has a chance against Yahoo!.

Google has been and will always be number one now, and there is nothing else that can be done about that. So, instead of worrying, why not accept it, and accept that you need good content written by me. That way google remains number one, and you get something out of it. I love being thinly veiled, but I need some peso's dammit.

    All Hail Google!

To be honest I don't believe that Google found their match on SearchMe. Why? Google isn't only one of the SE giants but also offer a large list of services like Google Earth, Google Reader, Google Mail (Gmail), etc. Because of this I can't consider SearchMe as Google's match (at least not for now).

SearchMe is something else, but I believe that Google will counter-attack soon either by reinventing their SE or (more likely) by buying SearchMe.

    Wait and see ;)

Well.. I would get bored of seeing thumbnails on websites on all my searches, and searchme is slow because of the flash.

If they should be BETTER than google they had to have a bigger index, update the index more frequently and so on, and I just don't think that would happen.

Google's a LOT faster than searchme. I know, Google has a lot of experience but new search engines should make sure that their search engine is fast too

Its a nice new fresh idea, definitely unique but I dont see it threatening google, it'l probably build up its own client base but in no time google will buy the idea and own them

I have to agree with you, The people at google are great business people. They know who to buy out before they become a problem to google. Yahoo and Msn need to take notes.

I'm a beta tester for this search engine and I think it's great too. But Google's muscle is not the search engine alone anymore, it's the whole conglomerate of sites they own so that if a better search engine came along such as this one, Google would still have huge power on the net.
    I really like SearchMe

Search me good, but, I don't think it has a match for google. Just that they don't have as much as resources as google and on the behalf of google I laugh. But, you are welcome to try and kill the titan named google.

It has good Thumbnail previews but no links so i don't think anyone will use it over google as google focuses on results strictly and searchme on fun

Wow, this website is awesome, I just signed up. If it provides good results I will even start using it on a constant basis.

Wow, decent results thus far, I'm not sure if you would be able to do this, but set it up so the scroll over button on a mouse lets you scroll over the websites left or right... that would be awesome.
