Which is better for my personal site

I want to make my personal site.
What to use.
Self hosted or remotely hosted.
Never made any personal site..

 

For a personal site, go with shared hosting (remote hosting). I assume by "self hosted" you mean your own server? If so, then that's a lot more work (for someone new to starting a website) than there is for shared hosting. You can get shared hosting for as little as a few dollars a month, with no worry of installing software, uptime, etc. Just write your html files and upload them and it all works.

 

Self host it. Whats more personal than only being able to view the site when youre on your computer?

 

I mean that I have 10 Websites on my shared account.
I want remotely hosted like some online potals giving online free sites/ even paid.
I dont want to update.
I want some pages, a galarry.
I didnt find any good script for this so i thought of remotely hosted sercive like tripod

Well, still basically, you are still able to create any website or add unlimited number of domains with it like any other hosting does.
