I want to make my personal site. What to use. Self hosted or remotely hosted. Never made any personal site..
For a personal site, go with shared hosting (remote hosting). I assume by "self hosted" you mean your own server? If so, then that's a lot more work (for someone new to starting a website) than there is for shared hosting. You can get shared hosting for as little as a few dollars a month, with no worry of installing software, uptime, etc. Just write your html files and upload them and it all works.
I mean that I have 10 Websites on my shared account. I want remotely hosted like some online potals giving online free sites/ even paid. I dont want to update. I want some pages, a galarry. I didnt find any good script for this so i thought of remotely hosted sercive like tripod
Choose a web hosting company that cost-efficient hosting plans and especially those companies that treats blogosphere as their main niche -- which potentially means quality blog support. Well, still basically, you are still able to create any website or add unlimited number of domains with it like any other hosting does.
