The New eBay Partner Network Linking Structure *Official*

Hi,

I just received an email containing a word document explaining the new link structure setup for all the eBay on the new affiliate network. This is the *Official* word. So for all those out there wondering here you go.

Yup, but they made it relatively easy to update if your using a script ..and even if you have to manually go through your html files with a FIND+REPLACE command.

 

Great info! Not to get off topic.. but do you know if we'll need to change the mpre value to match the PlacementID? Meaning if I know a visitor is coming from Canada.. I would change the PlacementID to 706-53473-19255-0, but would the mpre value need to be change to http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.ca%2F?

i have noticed some affiliates already using this, i guess they got an early start somehow.

 

I was sent an email directly from eBay..what was odd was the info was attached to the email in a word document. Maybe they're sending them directly to some of their high earning affiliates to get them ready.

 

This is actually going to be easier than I thought...I just hope they can get the commission structure and payments done in a relatively orderly fashion.

This'll also be pretty cool to get my links all moved over effective April 1st...I've been on a strange billing cycle for a long time with CJ.

 

Don't forget about the 5% bonus incentive for earning on the ePN for the month of April! ...Depending on how much you earn that could mean a few hundred or thousand dollars extra for making the switch.

 

It's looking great so far. I certainly hope that tracking improves as well.

 

Hopefully they will update their RSS feed generator soon so it matches with the new system

thanks for the info. Looks like Ebay won't be dropping the big money ball on April 1 (no fooling). Its kind of crazy to announce such a big turn over on April 1st.

 

Will they keep it program on CJ for another month? If not, a lot of affiliate gonna get screw over for not pausing their campaign on adwords.

 

They will continue to run eBay on CJ from April to May.. so you have a month to make the transition. eBay is also throwing a 5% extra on commissions for April to help encourage people to make the switch quickly.

Do we know if the commission structure is going to change yet? I know it'll be the same for the "transition month" but past that, what are we expecting?

 

^^ I'm thinking the same thing, I checked the eBay Parter Network affiliate site and it still says the same numbers. Wouldn't it be great for REAL-TIME tracking *mind wonders off*

Just finished watching the videos, looks exciting. We now get more analytics and control of link sourcing then ever before with CJ. I'm also sure eBay would continue developing the network and its capabilities further and further...looking forward to great things to come.
