If anyone is going to hear from Chris I would expect it to be you Rob, I have tried to contact him without joy also. I would say that Alive is no longer Alive!. Thanks Brian
i guess you are the closest to chris than most others, but i still think it's too early to say...... may be he is editing something
I can't understand why everyone seemed so bothered, you'd swear it was another Black Monday or something. Nice to see it back live though, who's the owner? Has it changed hands or was there some other reason it was down?
It is interesting isn't it. Some people's site's go offline for a few weeks and no one bats an eyelid. Alive has always had that enigma status on this forum though, and there are always keen eyes watching it Same owner as always I imagine that the directory was down for the same reason that any other site can go offline. Nothing out of the ordinary here peeps...
Sorry for the offtopic, but is Alivedirectory's permanent featured listing worth its price? It's almost $300...
Not an easy question to answer, I’m sure the directory receives good traffic from all the inbound links. Taking a slightly closer look at the directory reveals the directory has just over 100 indexed pages on Google since being penalized and is devoid of PR. Also noted that the site was down for a long time considering who owns it. (Sure this would never have happened before being penalized) Alive was one of the best Web Directories around in its day, hopefully it will return in the future but only time will tell. At the moment I would say you could get better value elsewhere. Thanks Brian
There's no way they would have let the directory die it is one of the most famous directories out there and it makes him ton's of money. By the way it's back up.
