I run a anime video site where you can look all the best anime. We host our own videos etc pretty much like youtube, but its only anime. Anyone have some good marketing tips how i can promote this site. I know many ways but i am always open for trying something else
Buy advertising on other anime sites, depending on what type visitors you want. I can sell you advertising on my sites by the way ;P Also advertising on anime forums, a lot of them have advertising sections. Stumbleupon is a good way to get traffic. Also try uploading videos to youtube with a link to your site.
Try to buy banners from big entertainment and anime site...check the traffic section in Dp...that would give you a lot of idea
Use a signature file like you are doing in this forum except find forums that are related to it like anime forums. I would do a google search "anime forum" and other keywords that you think would be relevant for your target market
I would also put some of the better videos on YouTube (with permission from the creator) and put it up under your own account, which links to your site. But I would check with their TOS to make sure this is allowed. Also do keyword research to find out what your audience searches online when looking for anime videos--find out what websites they visit (the top ten that show up for those results) and optimize your site to show up and/or advertise on those top sites. Easy ways to optimize: promote some of your videos on other top video sites with Traffic Geyser or similar programs--I've seen people get top rankings for their tagged keywords within 24 hours on Google. Also you can write and submit articles to directories for your keywords. Also consider partnerships with other anime sites that don't offer videos--allow them to promote your site to their audience and members for an affiliate commission or ad fee.
