I plan on writing some articles and posting them to directories using an article posting service. How many articles should i write? Do the services charge you PER article that they post? and will it be pointless to post 10 articles to a bunch of different article directories? Do i need 100 articles or so? Thanks, comments appreciated, Nick.
I would stick to however many articles are practical for you to write each day. For many people that's about two. I've only gotten good results from posting articles at ezinearticles.com. From what I can tell, I haven't received any traffic from any other article sites except for maybe goarticles.com once in a great while. Both ezinearticles and goarticles are free with no charge.
It is only worth the price to pay someone if your time is worth more than what you pay them. I always prefer to submit stuff like that myself because I know it is done the way I want it. If you have the articles but are short on time, it may be worth for you to pay someone to do it for you. That is a decision you will have to make. There is a debate among webmasters rather it is best to submit to just one or two good directories or submit to several. You will get a conflicting view point depending on who you ask. I say if you have a little time each day, if it is free, submit to several yourself over a period of time a little each day.
I use submit your article to submit my articles they charge $37 a month and they allow me to submit 8 articles per month, 2 articles per week. This service is great because it gives me the opportunity to create several unique versions of the article before it is submitted. This helps to avoid the duplicate content penalty, I've had great results with this service, all articles are manually submitted. But ultimately it's up to you, you can use a service to submit your articles or you can do it yourself.
posting one article to varieties of site helps to give you backlinks thereby increasing your pagerank. sometimes when you post your article to varieties of site you wont even get a single view. what most counts is the backlinks if you are thinking of posting to varieties. it worth it, at least for the backlinks.
The more articles you get out there the better! But don't limit yourself to just those great big directories, you would be missing out on a huge audience of readers that will NEVER visit those repositories. You can easily build your own list of real publishers (mine is in the thousands) that want your articles for there topical sites, ezines and newsletters that are read by actual people.
I am in against to publish article in directories. Why you should release your own unique content over the web, Publish all those articles on your website, and when SE Crawls the respective article page, you will surely benefited at that time in SERP's, because of unique content of Articles.
There is a service out there that cost I think $45 a month and you can submit as many articles you want to a bunch of sites, automatic like. I will find the link but maybe someone knows about it here too? Some IM's say it's great.
I must say here that DON"T DO AUTOMATIC SUBMISSIONS. Do manual. Manual is bit costly but it is worth investment. Automatic Submissions are like spam.
If you want to shoot up your website to top ranking at Google, Yahoo and MSN. You need hundreds or even thousands of backlinks. You write some articles then submit them to hundreds of article directories. For example: You write 10 articles. And submit all articles to 200 article directories. Assumption: their acceptance ratio are 100%. 10 articles x 200 article directories = 2,000 backlinks!!
This is very true. I've got a few articles now but I would want to get well over 10 quality articles before I submitt to a service. Can anyone give me a good site for checking your backlinks?
this isnt any true. You have to rewrite those articles.Otherwise one article = ona bacvklink due to duplicate content penalty
After you rewrite those articles, you have to check if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes. If there are but you are not aware of them, it's your own risk to being rejected. It will also be a waste that you have submitted to almost all the article submit sites manually. It is not at all easy to submit manually.
Yeah, it took me long enough to submit 4 articles to 5 directories yesterday. So you're saying if i submitt the same articles to a bunch of different directories then that is a bad thing?
I'd agree mojtada here - article submissions can work to your advantage, but don't submit the same article to 100 different directories. I don't think Google, et.al. look favorably on having the same content posted hundreds of times across the web that all point back to your website. They need to be different. Maybe one way to get away with this is to rewrite the article 100x (if that's even possible) - preserve the meaning but use synonyms and different sentences to get the same message across. Either way, my vote is cast for submitting different article manually. It's time consuming, but probably better.
IMHO I would just post as many good articles you can to Ezinearticles, and maybe goarticles too. Ezine's the daddy though. Some of the IM so called "gurus" post up to 30 articles a day to Ezinearticles...
