Can someone give me some dummy instructions on how to do this. I've followed all the directions to the best of my abilty. The only things I haven't done yet is: - Add a http (.htpasswd) username/password to the admin directory. - Remove the following from your online version: - offline directory and contents - sql directory and contents But I figure the site should be working by this time. Here's the full instructions: So if you go to the site right now, There's a popup asking you to download a file.. PHP I think. See here (a sample domain for now). What's causing this and what exactly do I need to do?
1.) Make .htpasswd file and upload it to your admin directory. If you don't know how to do it, PM me. 2.) Delete sql and offline folder. I don't know why your site is messed up, lol. Doesn't ask me to downloads, there's just codes all around!
Yeah I fixed that part. It was a problem in .htaccess but now code is everywhere like you said. This is really pissing me off -_- I made the .htpasswd file. Let me mess around some more. Eh. The .htpasswd file isnt doing anything for me. Help? I also deleted offline folder and sql
Sorry for jumping in but ... If your webserver simply sends the .php file to the browser it usually means that your Apache is not configured for parsing .php files through php. Maybe you use a very cheap hosting package without php support? Running on Windows server without php support? Handler for .php in .htaccess not correct? Many possible sources for the problem! Rather than trying to follow the installation steps to end, I'd first check why .php files aren't parsed by the php interpreter. jm2c
nah. I already fixed that issue. It was in .htaccess Now i dont know what the problem is. but theres exposed code on the site. It's all messed up
